Microsoft will probably try to buy Nintendo again, cope and seeth
Gaming Acquisitions
Will it affect players positively?
They already tried and they got laughed outta the room. Microsoft will pozz up Nintendo if they ever get it.
DESU...probably
like 2 decades ago lol, like Nintendo isn't the same company, back then Nintendo was family ran, on top of that the industry as a whole has changed. Their are multiple differences...also I said try, not will
I don't think so, at least for now that switch sales are going great, i think Nintendo won't accept
Instead of buying developers why doesn't Microsoft and Sony just you know try making video games that people want to play?
that would require talent, neither company has any.
Sony makes blu-ray players. They know their audience
Microsoft is the odd one out here.
They have plenty of talent they just don't want it to flourish because money comes first and they obviously need more of it at every possible second
nah, it would just mean MS would want a bigger premium, like I don't picture them selling for less than $80 Billion and I could easily see it going to $90-$100 Billion but I was saying MS would try not they would
because buying stuff is easier and leads to the same result except a vastly higher chance of success due to the established talent and IPs
Prove it
Nintendo are far too up their asses to let them be bought by another company
If they try it means they would, but you know japanese people are stubborn
>Source: Just trust me bro
>microsoft buys nintendo
>nintendo games come to pc
I win
>nintendo don't get bought
>gets emulated because of the weak ass hardware
I still win
Where's Intelligent Systems?
But Nintendo is also still super successful. So they have no reason to sell. Microsoft is just gonna stick to buying publishers and dumping their shit on Gamepass.
Common sense, millions of studio's fail so why wouldn't they want something with a proven track record
You can claim putting your dick in a sink disposal is common sense but in practice it's a very stupid idea
I asked you to prove it yet you couldn't even provide said track record of this happening in fact in Microsoft's case this has been the opposite
No way the Japanese government would allow Nintendo to be bought out. Japan tends to really value super old still functioning companies.
No, they are publicly traded meaning by corporate law they have to work in benifit of the shareholders so they likely would accept an offer if it was high enough
Nintendo doesn't own them (same with multiple studio's they should buy like Hal, Game freak and Camelot)
Activision and Zenimax were also successful, just because they didn't need to sell doesn't mean they won't as it lets the shareholders cash in on their shares (its arguably better to be purchased in a high point since you will be bought for more money)
No law would prevent it actually, the stricter regulations when it comes to forign enteriese acquiring Japanese companies more surrounds public security which Nintendo doesn't fall under
This would be the biggest "thing" in gaming of all time. I bet sony fans would start committing mass suicide in real life. I hope it happens just for the laughs. -The pokemon picture should be pikachu.
you still play nintendo games idiot.
American corporations buying up every single company meanwhile Americans can't even buy a house
nintendo and microsoft are in a friendly relation nowdadys.. with games coming to either console and sharing.. not sony.. sony is the lone boy
NGL, I hope Nintendo stays independent personally but I would just laugh if it did happen, it would be funny AF, also I wouldn't complain about their games go onto game pass since IMO Nintendo easily makes the best games in the industry.
Also Sony Fanboys would crawl out of the gutters claiming ratchet and clank is just as iconic as mario
Mood
Activision was tainted with huge scandal. Bobby needed a way out and Microsoft buying them more or less allowed that to happen. Zenimax was bought to bostler gamepass. And they were willing on being bought out. Nintendo or even Sony aren't ever going to join Microsoft because they have no reason to do so. Microsoft could buy guys like EA though.
>
The delays cost more of a drop in Activision's market cap than the scandle stuff lol which was less than the drop Sony is seeing due the the pending aquisition. Both were acquired to bolster game pass and "the metaverse". I think EA is MS next target but I am more saying MS will probably try for Nintendo again, not if they will acquire them or not
>making Nintendo be less transphobic, racist and stopping the discrimination of queer drag kids is a bad thing
Yikes holy nincel batman!
He literally said he won in both situations
Yes, Nintendo games will no longer be locked in outdated gimmicky hardware
Would one company owning every notable studio even be bad? Yeah they would jack up the price of gamepass eventually but then people would just unsubscribe if it got too high and then indie and streamer bait games would get more of the marketshare. You would never be able to buy out all the indies so there would never be a real monopoly.
They are a foreign company so this is extremely unlikely. It's honestly more likely that Sony would be able to do it, and it probably still wouldn't happen.
>Would one company owning every notable studio even be bad?
Yes, because the industry will turn into a graveyard of IP
Maybe M$ would finally release a finished game.
Sea of shit - unfinished
Forza - tranny shit and still has the bugs of previous games
Halo - no forge or co-op, less shit than Halo 3
Video games cost so much to make. They would rather not take the risk themselves.
It's already like that though. No one at Rare wanted to make more Banjo after Nuts and Bolts flopped. Deus Ex MD didn't sell enough so the publishers didn't want to make more. There are more IP than there are studios so they can't all get new additions.
I mean, I like the switch, but you aren't wrong. Not to mention their games would be day 1 on game pass
Might be nice for the devs if they had a 12tflops specced console to make games for instead of a 1tflop console. I wonder how they'd make use of the additional power at their disposal.
Reminder that Xcucks couldn’t play games they own offline during the network outage lmao. If you own an Xbox you are a brainless nigger.
Its hard to say, the obvious answer is yes but we have seen monopolies be a good thing multiple times like the NHS in the UK as an example, sure its goverment run but the goverment doesn't care about us regardless so mute point lol
Sony can't afford Nintendo lol, Activision literally cost half of sony's market cap and Nintendo is more expensive than them. A merger maybe but an acquisition, 0% chance for sony. Nintendo is publicly traded regardless so they by corporate law need to try an maximise shareholder wealth
I would be happy just to see their games on game pass desu, aside from the xenoblade games I never noticed many issues with performance It obviously wasn't great but it could of easily been worse
cope and seeth
>Microsoft will pozz up Nintendo
Imagine still thinking glorious nippon is wholesome like your Japanese animes. They’re worse about social justice than the West now.
dilate xtranny, enjoy your bricked console
They're publicly traded, but Japanese laws and corporate governance are different user.
I am literally playing GTA 5 on it and was playing ori, Bugsnaks and DMC 1 not long ago so I am fine by the looks of things
Japanese law doesn't prevent forign companies from acquiring Japanese one, while it can be tougher the main area's where restictions were put in place are linked to social security which Nintendo doesn't fit into
Too expensive. Microsoft needs to tank Nintendo’s stock value first.
They literally can't buy it because the laws prevent them (or basically anyone) from buying Nintendo since they're a cultural asset.
This is from something that happened 2 decades ago, people who use decade old+ stuff as evidence are a bit dense IMO
No, MS could afford Nintendo right now, The question is would they be willing to pay $80-$100 billion for them most likely
There's no such thing as "Cultural" assets in Japanese acquisition laws. There's foundational businesses that are protected. But that's only essential infrastructure like finance, pharma and public utilities. The main reason Nintendo won't get bought is they are well above a $100 Billion dollar asking price at the moment. No one wants to pay that. Not even Apple.
I looked into it because I assumed Nintendo would fall under some national treasure law which prevented them from being acquired but I couldn't find anything
Their market cap is $57,514,839,340. $100 billion dollars is the max price I could see Nintendo being acquired for and the largest/most expensive acquisiton in history is almost double that at $183 billion or almost triple if you factor in inflation ($297.7 billion)
