based fingers
>it has a death animation
what the fuck was their problem?
>pay for a game to literally give me the finger
If only I had a giant but whole
I honestly don’t know
>Demigods aren’t doing their jobs
>Doesn’t let Morgott take over because he’s an ugly Omen
>Sends the tarnished to get rid of the demigods
>doesn’t let the tarnished take over even though he’s the only possible candidate at this point
>tarnished burns the tree
>gets mad at the tarnished even though they forced them into the situation in the first place
Their problem is that they aren't all knowing but they're supposed to be, by the end of the game you're meant to come to conclusion that they're just as useless as everyone else. They mean well but they're still false idols.
>>Doesn’t let Morgott take over because he’s an ugly Omen
>>doesn’t let the tarnished take over even though he’s the only possible candidate at this point
>>gets mad at the tarnished even though they forced them into the situation in the first place
They're not the ones blocking the tree, Radagon/The Elden Beast is. Radagon's Great Rune (the criss cross thing you can see on Radagon's Soreseal) is on the barrier of thorns blocking the entrance.
Only thing I could think of was the greater will was using the tarnished to clear the way for someone else. Honestly have no idea though.
>because he’s an ugly Omen
no its because omen literally dont/cant have grace, they arent a part of the erdtree's cycle, but the much older crucible. morgott couldnt be granted grace by the tree even if it wanted to, because his kind exist outside of that cycle and are a part of something much older and more primal
What even are the fingers? Why are they fingers?
>GRRM writes a mysterious character pulling the strings behind the scenes, names it the two fingers
>Miyahacki literally makes them two fingers because lol, lmao
Unironically based of Miyazaki. We need more unconventional creatures in fiction
Envoy for an outer god called the greater will. Their shape is a mystery.
The two fingers, though
I think it was Marika who was reviving us the entire journey, and Melina (being marikas daughter).
The fingers were confused and thought that the greater had chosen us, why else were we seeing more success than the other tarnished?
when in reality we were always opposing the greater will.
I like how they Freeze up and stop commanding once this miscommunication happens because now the strings are cut and it's revealed that only Marika wants us to continue against the erdtree, the greater will and everything else.
It's an allegory for finger puppets. You either listen and do as they command when they make subtle gestures and wriggled, or you can break free and defy them.
It's kino, I love literal representation.
fuck these guys.
What do they eat
That explanation for revives actually make sense and lines up with events as presented in game. Good analysis user.
>Marika watching my dumbass get bodied by Malenia for the 400th time
I hope some modder replaces them with toes
Giant but holes
They aren't the ones stopping the Tarnished, they don't know what's going on that's why they ask the Greater Will what's up
The fingers really did have faith in you. If they remained a character they would probably be as based as the Finger Reader herself and give you the okay to burn the tree
the fingers are pretty much a giant creepy ancient fax machine that the GW uses to comunicate
Thank you. I Kept asking how we were being revived since this is the first fromsoft game that doesn't explicitly state why it Is we can get back up. But anons just laughed at me.
Now my headcanon: I know that Marika was already physically shattered after breaking the Elden Ring but I think her physical appearance reflects the damage that the players was experiencing. I think she was taking the deaths into her godly self to allow a weak tarnish to get back up. It's why Melina only speaks when you're in the church of Marika.
Also the empyreans were meant to be more explicit love interests. Because for the next tarnish to take the throne they must choose one as their consort. We know Rannis is 1, Melina would be but she has no physical vessal. Melania has cut dialogue that calls us beloved companion so she was going to be a love interest originally but we never got that.
Marika was basically our mother in law. Actually now that I think of it. Rennala is also very kind to us and helps us on our journey, so all the god mothers were watching our back for some reason.
Kinda amusing how the finger reader grandma was like noooo muh first carnidal sin blah blah then, considering the current shit show and seeing how useless the two fingers has become, talked about the giants' flame and told you to just fucking do it.
>Nah man that grab was total fucking bullshit. Did you see that hitbox? I'm bringing him back
GW abandoned the planet when things got out of hand and the fingers dont really know what the fuck to do.
>miquella ending where he fuck his bussy for eternity while kicking out all outergodniggers
god i wish
Mmm I don't see it. The fingers themselves are puppets of the greater will, and the greater will only desires to protect the Erdtree at the expense of everything else. Quite literally everyone realized they were full of shit and wanted them gone.
Finger reader grandma was based. I love her. I bet she'd make the best cookies.
So wtf are omens anyway? What's their lore? And what does Dung Eater have to do with them?
Anyone got the in-game extract assets? I'm looking for the painting of demi-gods
And that is why Japan > Westshit
Same with them making a massive dude ride a tiny little horse and playing it completely straight; no humor involved at all.
All the Fingers know is trying to bring up a new Elden Lord. The GW is torn between the idea of this or having faith that Radagon can fix the Ring
Yeah, it was cool though, i was expecting 2 powerful dudes, not 2 literal fingers
The purpose of the Two Fingers was to enforce will of GW, but when it noped out after Marika shattered the Elden Ring, they were left without orders and just kept enforcing old commands.
>that is why Japan > Westshit
the extent to which the japanese are capable of eviscerating money printing franchises with greed and cheapness boggles the mind.
> your pic related
the Fingers were unintentionally betraying the Greater Will from the start by guiding the Tarnished, I really do wonder what their response would have been after communicating
>Xx_Tarnished_player_xX has inva
Apparently they were blessed by the crucible, but when the age of the Erdtree and golden order arose they were considered ugly and evil. Regular Omens have their horns extracted at birth and most usually die. If they're noble born then they are locked in the sewers.
They're persecuted for no reason. Same with demi humans (which are treated like animals) and the misbegotten (slaves and servants).
It's an ugly system of abuse.
This is why I let everything and everyone burn. The only way to cure cancer is to cut it out.
>became puppet of a jewish demon
lol
Looks more like a pair of legs and a torso like this.
They're just the communicators, so I don't even know why all the demigods went out of their ways to kill them. The GW can still watch what's happening in the realms between without them being there, it just can't communicate back
>This is why I let everything and everyone burn. The only way to cure cancer is to cut it out.
Yeah, except you didn't actually burn anything relevant that causes the cancer, you just burned the material the cancer uses; retard.
Old Fang
Budding Horn
Crucible Tree set
Omen Bairn
Regal Omen Bairn
>They're just the communicators
If that was the case why did ranni go out of her way to brutally murder hers? Sounds like they're a lot more than messangers.
Wait dlc i bet thats the entrance besides mikella cum egg
>except you didn't actually burn anything relevant
Burning the whole land and everyone and everything in it to ash is not relevant?
The world will be built anew with non of the old cancer.
Yes
I simp Fia
She did nothing wrong
>Playing the game blind
>Keep hearing about the local god being Two Fingers, don't play too much mind to it
>Kill Godrick and go to the Roundtable Hold
>The central door is now open
>Walk in mfw I see two giant undulating sausage fingers on the other end of the room
GW is Israel. Flame of Frenzy is the US. That's why the merchants hide behind its power.
>demigods simply doesnt care because theyre literally england on colonial times and the lands between is just ine of the thousands of colonies the greater will had
I think that's because hers hired black knives somehow and had the ability to control Blaidd for some reason. But other than that they're just middlemen
Dungeater was a normal human, but he desired to be an Oman. What others saw as a curse he saw as a blessing. So he lived in the sewers willingly. He also did curse others, now the next part is trickier
youtu.be
Now that you're caught up. Let me discuss what dunneaters ending was about.
It's sadly far too looked over, but the demi humans, misbegotten and omens were, true to their theme, overlooked by the players. They were the persecuted lower class. Dunfeaters ending was to curse everyone, however before the erd tree this curse was just the standard of living before. You could even guess that this ending brings us into an age before the golden order, where the crucible was worshipped, and the great tree was still around.
Curse to some, blessing to others!
Cuck
>the greater kek
>the golden cucks
>the dual appendages
>erderpen tree
>the stars of supernova
>the chad of flame
Yeah but the previous tree is dead, and the crucible has been infected with Godwyns corpse. So it's not really returning to the original order, it's a facsimile of the original order done through the erdtree. Your soul still gets used as erdtree food, it's just every living thing now has the omen curse
>kill the world
>somehow it will be built anew from nothing but ash
I bet you share Keanu memes
