I remember something like this happened in Latin America before. In 2005-2006, There was a lot of servers in there with a shitload of people playing on them, the most popular one getting 3000+ online for WoEs.
They got hit by a DMCA claim and went under for about a year, then resurfaced and started operating again like if nothing happened. Gravity did nothing to funnel those players into their servers.
It was just a big, meaningless scare, and I expect nothing happening this time, again.

They've taken down private servers before. They took down the ones that ran on AEGIS since it was stolen, so everyone moved to eAthena. They used to call pserver cash shop "donations" to try to protect themselves as well. Apparently novaRO and some others don't even bother doing that anymore?
Either way RO is dead, you'll never experience early 2000s comfy community.
