played this on launch for a few months. loved the action combat. hated lack of any any game, the RNG gambling upgrade system, and the server lag anytime we tried to do large scale pvp.

i really really really really really hope someone leaks the server code as the game shuts down and we can get private servers up and running asap. i would love a private tera server to boot up with a few friends and just explore/fuck around in for a bit without all the cash shop nonsense .

I tried to get into the game in the beginning, but I think my computer was just shit at the time because every few hours or so I would get memory leaks and I would be forced to restart the game again.

Elins are the most overracted things to exist in MMOs. They were worse looking compared to High Elves, Castanics, and female Amans who were all walking sex bombs. They also weren't cutesy or goofy as Lalas, so the only real appeal to playing them were the small hitboxes.

The worst thing of all though was you couldn't make them into shortstacks.

Island of the dawn was turned into a lvl 60 area, it's story had something to do with why the 3 alliance content was removed.
Funny enough they still didn't bother to fix the story, and NPCs/Quest lines will still reference you being on the island of dawn at a low level

From what I've gathered, there ARE a few functional private servers out there, but someone else will need to fill-in the details regarding which ones are worth looking into.

That's kinda sad. It's probably the MMO I've had the most fun in, sad to see it go but it really did do it to itself.

I was interning for a bank when tera was in beta. My manager and her husband were addicted to tera and she would regularly just leave work to play it for the few months that I was there. She would also talk about it non-stop. Now that I have been in the workforce for like 8 years I am starting to realize just how based of a boss she was.
