Get out.
The least ambitious shitposter.
Man I get a headache thinking of catching up on all old Final fantasies
Behold the new cancer of Yea Forums
Yoshit-piss flop
Keep telling yourself that Barry
I don't get that pic, why is he freaking out?
>hack who just shat the bed with Babylon's Fall calls FF16 something special
FF16 won't be a failure of the same scale but Yoshida should invite him to his pity party when FF16 turns out to be another mediocre disappointment.
Watch out, superior taste coming through. /4/307842/4/5
I only just noticed it was sony exclusive. Certainly it will come to steam right? Eventually...
>steam
You mean EGS
Still would
Same. Love what they've shown so far, no bullshot pre-rendered crap
aaaah that explains all the shitposting the game gets.
the least ambitious thread because Barry makes this every day
I'll kino you.
it literally said its coming to pc as well in the trailer
>Least ambitious
>Returning to pure fantasy when the series stopped around 5 or 6
You know that's wrong.
>hack who just shat the bed with Babylon's Fall
Was Yoshi-P involved in babylon's fall at all? This isn't bait I can't find anything on it. However
>Pretending it's not because Babylon's Fail is a live service garbage
>Yoshi-P
Not that user but he didnt say Yoshi-P. The hack who called FF16 something special is a dude called saito.
>>Pretending it's not because Babylon's Fail is a live service garbage
Pre-coping i see.
>no twink protagonist
dropped
>Pre-coping
Not that user but name one successful 60$ live service game in the vein of Babylon's fall.
Just for clarity's sake, what's the MOST ambitious Final Fantasy?
Besides the MMO.
Based. I'm not buying your Western pandering dad simulators.
The first one because it was either make something or go bankrupt. Does that make it good though? No.
Versus XIII
Literally too ambitious to exist

FF7

First game where every line of dialogue that was part of the main story was fully voice acted. It has unironically probably had a larger impact on the current state of the medium than any other game in history.
I don't think the game looks any good, but we all know it looks better than XV already.
the reason we haven't heard anything since the announcement is that Square is currently scrambling to get out of the exclusivity contract because the PS5 is DOA
FF is a series that's been defined by ambition for a long time. That said, probably FFVII or FFX. VII is when they had to make the move to 3D and were also throwing their lot in with Sony as opposed to their prior relationship with Nintendo, and FFX is when they really kicked the focus on cinematics up a notch with full voice acting, and actually having someone other than Uematsu compose on the soundtrack for once.
XIV's rebooted version. A herculean effort to save something that was deemed a total embarrassment.
original XIV was also extremely ambitious, to the point of failure
VI
that game made the SNES sing
Oh thank god.
this thread is still happening two years later
The movie was fun enough but god damn they replaced this shit with pushing a car down a desert road.
you'd probably have about as much control in that big cinematic sequence as you did with pushing the car
None of them, FF never had any ambition other than making a shitload of money.
FF but open world sigh
>medieval/renaissance fantasy
>not futuristic fantasy
Kino incoming
Who keeps making threads about games they hate? We don't even know anything yet.
ARR aped WoW, that's why it 'succeeded'. It's one of the least ambitious games to exist because they stick to extremely safe guidelines to not flop again.
True. Shame that both of its versions are gutter shit.
Nomura specifically said he wanted as many cinematic scenes to be playable as possible, and he hates cutscenes that take control away from the player
Tabata was the one who took the entire ALREADY PLAYABLE invasion chapter and sold it as a DVD instead
>WHAT'D YOU MEAN YOU REFUSE?!?!?!?!
Why the fuck do you think it's open world
Stop making assumptions
This looks like 14.5
>FF is reddit now
Zoomers should all be gassed.
what a retarded take, ffvi just another ff using the same engine and formula of the others games for the snes
This is what's keeping me excited. If the story is as good as Final Fantasy Tactics that's a plus for me. I doubt it but at least it feels like it.
Yoshi-P is a Matsuno fanboy, he's definitely going to be aping that Tactics/Vagrant Story vibe
the writer did Heavensward so there's a chance it'll be decent
what do they eat
>avoid aoe mechanics
yoshitpee... sisters... it's over
Looks like Italy so I guess pasta and pizza
lol iunno
>what is... every action game ever made
Don't be salty that you won't have the reflexes for an actual combat system. I'm sure they will keep making 4 faggots in a row games for you on the side
>No futuristic airships, or sky trains
Dropped.
>Tabata
why does that name keep coming up in poor decisions from SE, hmmm
>No granade spells
Suh dude this shit will flop frfr no cap.
Really?
The only name at SE that is consistently good is Kawazu
And there is still no game, wow.
Map
A test of your reflexes.
Every step we take echoes in our wake. Winding 'round our fate to forge ahead. Should we lose our wake, tire of all this pain
We won't be afraid to forge ahead.
Why'd he do it bros....
Don't forget Naoki Yoshida! I know that name makes some in this thread utterly seethe so just throwing that out there. Not a bad game to his name!
Was it autism?
Yeah I guess he's 1 for 1, but that's not really a good metric. He could have just been lucky with XIV, I think XVI will give us a better look at what he really brings to the table.
Just look at Sakaguchi. Everyone thought he was the genius behind the old school FF series, but as soon as he steps out on his own, he makes nothing but garbage.
At this point I literally remember zero plot points that were even hinted at in the trailer. Theres a little boygirl who the mc has to protect who has phoenix in him and theres an evil dragoon aaand thats about it.
Yeah that's about all we've got
All FF's have a sci fi twist. I expect this one to follow tradition. Watch there be a secret moon race who are the real villains
oh wow is that a coerl charging up, is it gonna attack with you lightning damage?
You really see a pattern with these old time game makers where they should have retired and kept there legendary status and dignity in tact. Not that I'm saying saka didn't, since I don't really know his story but the guy who made Balan sure as hell did.
tranny
I really hope that doesn't happen. I just what medieval/renaissance kino. Leave all the futuristic and sci-fi stuff to the FF7 remakes.
