just play the fun mode games in the beggining, like aram, urf, all for one, then normal and then ranked, do this and you won't get frustrated

its a fun arcade game to play 1-2-3 times a week but you are region locked, you need 5000$+ to unlock all heroes, or you need to grind for 4+ years to unlock them

Probably not. The game has a bunch of cool characters with playstyles that you will probably like but mobas are pretty demanding. I still like Ornn, but not enough to keep playing the game.

I prefer Dota 2, but honestly mobas are only fun if you forget about win/lose and focus on making the right decision for a given situation; otherwise the shitters will make you insane. Also, try to get at least other 2 friends to play with, that way you will at least be able to coordinate adc+supp+jung or top+jung+mid.

I would recommend Smite mostly since for 40 bucks you have all gods(champions) past and future unlocked.

True but professional Dota is still beloved. It's still a part of the base game and even diehard Dota fans love watching it to see where they could improve.
As for everything outside the game, I hesitate to agree with you considering every attempt to expand outside of Dota itself has been a piss poor attempt.
Artifact was outright just not a fun game. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise, I was hyped for it, played it, and was bored to tears.
Underlords was super fun but the team had no idea how to balance and the Underlords themselves ruined the game.
The Dota 2 anime is a joke. Nothing else to say here.

The sad truth is that Valve really doesn't care. A Dota 2 RTS or RPG back in 2016 would have probably elevated the series to at least minimum League levels. Sadly Steam gives Valve all the money they need and Dota 2 is just a small pile of dust in the corner. Meanwhile for Riot, League is pretty much 95% of all their income, so it gets way more love.

I'll always prefer Dota 2 though. The heroes are just far more interesting, especially this one here. Just enough micro to be interesting without annoying, hyper aggressive, and deceivingly tanky in ways that will fuck with enemies. I love him.
