How would you know?

Where is the bottom one?

online messages or just seeing an area and thinking "there must be a way to get there"

you can see the snow falling on the invisible bridge in the mountaintops of the giants, also the message on the rise says
>"Falling snow marks something unseen."

the one in the hidden path to the haligtree is found by exploration
in the main area, there's only one railing that's destroyed
you should be familiar with the heretical rise puzzle already, so drop a rainbow stone and see there's an invisible path and hop down

entrance of snowfields

Optional secret stuff cool in my opinion you literallyh lose nothing if you don't do these they are there to have more secrets I love stuff like this in games.

bruh

Not that hard retard. The snow one has points where the snow hits it to indicate where to go and the one to get the silver scarab is literally just walking down to the chest.

i used to know all the secrets of ds3 . for elden ring i havent cared at all to find them

there could be undiscovered secrets out there.

every damn Elden screenshot has faggots with katanas

>you can see the snow falling on the invisible bridge in the mountaintops of the giants
Not in my game, the snow fell right through, but maybe they patched it since then.

the actual falling snow is different to the animation on the invisible bridge

Thats because secrets in Ds3 were cool. Elden Ring its just quirky invisible walkways, you can tell they put all the secret gimmicks into the scarab aspect.

The snowfall effect in the area is just an overlay effect that can't make any physical contact, which is a huge fuck you to those familiar to DS1 and how the crystal cavern worked.
There's actually a slight fog effect which appears and disappears, which of course can be hard to notice on the backdrop of snow.

Not their fault they're an all rounder. It has reach unlike shit ass regular swords, and it often has skills and powers that rival strength and faith builds, plus it levels off dex which most ppl level up early to be able to wield shit.

i found the bottom image because the octopus knocked me down there, i had to look up where to go to get into the tower top image but i did accidentally shoot some arrows that hit the invisible bridge i thought it was just wonky hitboxes though

Thank you for spoiling it for me you soaking wet pussy faggot.

here you go bud my latest run, dex

Thats why you inch along and watch instead of just running mindlessly. I only died once, but after i just simply watched for the fog puff on the steps and did it no problem. Its annoying as fuck, but i think its common sense to not run crazy on an invisible platform high above some mountains.

Top is bullshit that I only found because of a player message telling me to look carefully. I never saw the supposed snow and only made the connection from seeing the broken bridge on the other side
Bottom is fine since you should know there's more to that place because of the many doors leading into empty space and the beast eye quivering if you have it

How could you have been spoiled without actually looking this up. Nothing in the game tells you this is here you retard, so either you gotta be damn lucky to discover a invisible platform by naturally playing or look this shit up.

i cant wait for them to be nerfed
>dont do pvp, except for varres quest
>invade some guy
>his gank buddy has dual rivers of blood
>only spams the ash of war
>i almost kill them after some back and forth but eventually i run out of flasks and die from RoB
>get teabagged
im glad i dont invade regularly, it was such a boring fight.

you cant really get a good look at it from where you are around the tower, i did obviously figure there was something invisible probably a bridge but it starting on the other side of the canyon messed me and probably everyone up

>heretical rise puzzle already
I completed the game and I dont know which one is heretical rise puzzle. I never encountered walking on invisible ledge until I used the elevator and amulet

the snow falling through the bridge is just lazy coding that shows how rushed the area was and is counter intuitive for solving the riddle, I spent ten minutes actually searching around for areas where snow falling may have looked different
what's even sadder is ds1 did this right 10 fucking years ago

You can also see an imp patrolling down there.

There's a physics skull floating at the edge of the snow one, pretty much telling you there's a path there.
Then as you get further the invisible bridge isn't 100% invisible, there's white haze you can see at the right angles.

cry more gaijin

what secret item the snow one leads to?

Attached: Screenshot (240).jpg (1924x1080, 135.78K)

For the top one, the game literally tells you

the bottom one is straight bullshit though. It was bullshit in Dark Souls 1 and it's bullshit here.

shitty sorcery i think

yes but I assumed I would go down conventionally . if there wasn't messages and ghosts I would never fucking thought about jumping down there cause at no point before were invisible ledges.
also
>hey can I go there?
>who cares its probably just the Rune Ark
and
>hey there is that rise
>well I already have too many slots and I'm not a magic user so I'm not wasting my life obsessing over that one tower in the distance

not worth it then

The tower gives a hint that there is an unseen path. I looked at the side, and all round expecting to find a simple invisible staircase. i didnt see one but i saw the opening into the tower. i looked across the canyon and saw the destroyed bridge and thought 'no way it goes all the way from there'. but i rode over there and it looked like a perfect fit, used prism stones to get across without dying. the path kind of curves a bit at the end.

this literally had to be you first game you ever played to not get somewhat of an idea what "falling snow marks something unseen" means
like you actually have to be retarded to not think about something invisible and after a bit see a broken fucking bridge that is facing the tower

as much as i like to shit on ER and how disappointing it was this was one of the fun parts of it

I've found the tower one without problems
as for the bottom one I've ran the fuck away from there because it was spooky and forget to return to double check

Just for (You)

Well, you see, I have the internet and play online so even without messages everywhere, there were floating bloodstains. However, at the very least, the Haligtree Catacombs has a visual indicator.

It's just a shortcut.

The top one I needed a guide there was zero indication it was there, the bottom I found on my own only because the giant hand fell down and I saw it was running around on air.

That's of course after you discover that the snow effect is an overlay and has no connection to the puzzle, then finding the start of the path on the opposite side of the gorge from the tower. Then you got the left turn midway that you can miss because the effect is subtle and disappears for a little while.

You wouldn't. Only dataminers would be able to actually know this. That's why they literally found it first

You are not entitled to find optional content.

>I only died once
How? Between rainbow stones and the game physically preventing you from falling off death heights when you swing your weapon there is literally no reason for anyone capable of rubbing two braincells together to die from these shitty "puzzles".

It's needed for the legendary sorceries and incantations achievement, so only really worth it if you're a completionist.

personally I found the rain spell fun, but it's a pain in the ass to use, ok vs large enemies

the swing to not fall off tech is still not well known

No shit, I keep finding out about new things I havent found after 200+ hours. Yesterday I found out you can jump down to a hidden area behind the Beast Sanctum and find the Beast Clergyman's dagger and a talisman.

i hope you admired the water cliff while you were down there

i swear the next dlc is going to be in the middle of the ocean

For the bottom one, I noticed the broken handrail thing on the platform where the giant octopus drops and thought about the fact that the beast eye was quivering, so there had to be some way to access a catacomb boss or chest somewhere in there before I walked out into the snowfield. Just threw down the rainbow stone and knew there was an invisible walkway. Jumped down, looked around, saw the manlet enemies in the room across from where I dropped down onto the invisible already and hit one with an arrow to see if he would run to me. He did, so I knew there were invisible paths that I had to follow in order to get to the deathroot.

The snow rise I got spoiled on somewhere, not sure where.

Also for the bottom one, the eye item will quiver saying there is a Deathroot nearby. That's what got me to continue to explore the area to notice the broken railing and try the stone technique in order to find the hidden path.

Only whites can see the paths

i saw floating messages in both locations, which tipped me off.

that doesn't work with every weapon or attack type either and some ledges don't account for it

>It's le secret xDDD
>just hump every wall and roll on every square meter of the map to find hidden rooms xDDD
Yes fromdrone, tell me I got filtered. you NPC.

DS3 made me paranoid about invisible paths like that and I've actually found myself dropping rainbow stones at many places where I saw something that seemed unreachable otherwise.

The tower tells you about the bridge. The black seed vibrates when you get there and you can see little goblin guys when you look down.

Everytime I see glitchy shit like this, I just assume it's a bug. When I saw a glowing animal roll through Seluvius' basement, I just assumed it was a shitty path find that clipped through the ground.

God I hate this game design. Please tell me law of regression shows these things.

Yeah
