not gonna watch either
Fpbp
>sonic the shithog
who cares
>professionals with a deadline
vs
>NEET whose time is worthless
>professionals
Ok
Now show me the animated version of the bottom.
Animated vs still render
Top looks better while being an animation.
soul vs soulless every single time
Bottom looks like shit too
That's cool but its also one frame out of 24 for one second of airtime. Can he do a little more?
NINTENDO
go back to instagram
Just when I'm starting to think Sonicfags are becoming less autistic, they obsess themselves over shading in a fucking kids netflix show.
if you're paid to do it, it's a profession. This is why there's a distinction between being a professional, and being an expert.
Obviously bottom looks objectively better but I'm kinda digging the purple hue of the top
>edited single frame of an entire animation
>LITERALLY ONE FUCKING GUY HOW CAN BIG CORPORTATION BE SO INCOMPETENT
Suck a cock.
360 graphics vs xbone
Both look like shit. I use Picsart too though, good app but sucks when they won't let you download your image without paying every once in a while
I am not going to defend a corporation regardless of the redditor status of any individual.
What the fuck is going on with the hand and arm shadow here?
Are there two different light sources?
both are shit because that awful model is over a decade old and it wasnt designed for expressive animation
NINTENDO
one guy took the image at the top and played around with the colours for a bit? and this is impressive is it?
>t. does not know the difference between model and character design
Netflix animation studio:
>made an actual animation
literally one fucking guy:
>made literally one fucking frame
What are rings, anyway?
Sega has somehow avoided making the mistake of explaining rings rather than just letting them be a gameplay conceit.
now show the bottom part fully animated
seems pretty expressive to me
>one guy MADE A SINGLE FRAME
>netflix studio made an actual fucking show
>Sonic the Reddithog
Pathetic
Not canon, not relevant.
I'm just glad to see something that looks on-model as almost as if it was from the game. So many damn adaptations of games can't even get that right.
just because the hobbyist indie developers at sega cant animate it doesn't mean it can't be expressive
Has there ever been a Sonic game that actually has them move their brows in-game? I know they do it for the CG cutscenes but I can't think of anything in-engine.
HIRE
THIS
MAN
Holy fucking mega autism it’s a show for babies
>Holy fucking mega autism it’s a show for babies
NINTENDON'T HIRE THIS MAN
R.I.P Sonic
Everything dies when pedoflix touches it.
>just light every scene individually with dynamic, camera based lighting for several hours of content, and then render all of that, geez what don't these professional animators get, it's not that hard
okay that's fair, I think the eyes and cheeks should always smoothly connect though
These shows are still made by adults, and a big chunk of criticism like this comes from people who want to join the industry. Besides them there's still people who would rather that the shows kids watch are good rather than bad because it could effect you even if you aren't watching it. If you have a kid you might have to turn it on, and if the show sucks that's even worse than if it was good. If you like Sonic games and you think this sucks but it gets well received it could signal to Sega that they can put even less effort into what they do with the games. Children's cartoons also have an effect on the entertainment industry at large. If it weren't for Adventure Time helping to popularize ongoing stories in comedy cartoons and its simple noodle limb style I highly Rick and Morty would exist as it does.
I don't agree with the criticism being lobbied by OP and think that a one frame render doesn't mean much when compared to a fully animated scene, but that's all besides the point I wanted to make.
SEGA, CONTRATA A ESTE HOMBRE
Sonic starts looking really weird when they have him be too expressive.
>SMARR INDIE ANIMATION COMPANY PREASE STOP CRITICIZING
Netflix is the network that gives shows budgets upwards of $30 million a fucking episode. MUH ONE FRAME FIX VS ANIMATION isn't an excuse here.
>Netflix is the network that gives shows budgets upwards of $30 million a fucking episode.
And you think every show is given the same budget?
>Top: Dusk
>Bottom: Mid Afternoon
HIRE
Unless Sonic is a disabled black tranny, they're not getting shit per episode. This will be treated like a kids cartoon show. Low budget and low effort.
I don't even get what's supposed to be bad about top (assuming it takes place at dusk, and if not then that's a lighting change that wouldn't take this much autistic rendering that bottom wants to imply to fix)
Sonicfags are so fucking autistic
Fags who assume the lack of realistic lighting was because of incompetence are the same saying those unreal engine "remakes" of oot look good
Stranger Things was the show that hoovered up the budget of everything else on the service. A ton of animation staff and execs quit a couple weeks back and they've told stories about how poorly managed the department was.
They look the same, I don't get it and I've played every single Sonic game. The Netflix show looks fine, aren't you guys tired of complaining about nothing? I have 0 problems with the Show design and I'm not really sure what are you guys even complaining about, you don't like that Netflix made that clip at dawn? you wanted it on midday? or what even is the problem with it
>voiced by a nigger
in other words, grass is green
you are just used to soullessnic
>different rendering and lighting
>still the same model but now with shitty generations background
>Yeah bro this is totally better
They both look terrible
