It would be more difficult to name one that hasnt

Halo.
Seeing them broken by “Picard” made me genuinely sad
qrd?
I hope they stick to their guns like discovery and stop after episode 10. And don't talk about strange new worlds or any other crap either.
Mike "Ready To Knuck and Break That Buck" Stoklasa should have focused his wrath on CBS instead of the inner city youth of Milwaukee
Donkey Kong
Why does Yea Forums get to have constant RLM threads but jannies will seethe uncontrollably over eceleb threads on Yea Forums?
all of them?
monhun
>Fire emblem
There was never that much glory. The idea behind the gameplay peaked at Thracia and even then it was full of kaga's autistic bullshit. The games hardly ever had good stories
Mike, the fat slob in the hoodie in OP’s image, has been a fan of Star Trek since he was a kid. The new “Picard” show he says has retroactively ruined his love of Star Trek and TNG and Picard’s character. If it were anyone else I’d say it was just hyperbole but he looks sincerely demoralized when he says it

they look so young in this photo. now they're just complete husks

Mike has a moment where he drops all pretense of comedy and sarcasm and let's his true feelings out.
All of them
Yes
This was my first thought.
Final Fantasy
>watching any established franchise past 2012
>caring at all about any western media past 2012
When will they learn.
Vid unrelated.
I wonder what hurt him more for Mike, Picard being trash, or William Shatner saying he doesn't like him.
Fuck.... you're right and im fucking sad
Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Wrestling Games
probably Picard, since the Shatner thing is a just another piece of evidence in Mike's ongoing elder abuse trial
>Fighting games in general
It's not that bad
give me the quick run down on picard. what makes it awful?
Konami itself
Shatner wounded him, STP double tapped him as he lay bleeding in the gutter.
i doubt he was very hurt by shatner's sassy twitter intern
yeah rip MH, both the games themselves and the community have been destroyed beyond repair
I found happiness
Fuck rlm and their wanna be intellectual pretend deep takes

it was a moment of stark vulnerability and passion that made them incredibly sympathetic
if they decided to shut down RLM after that video I think it would be a wonderful, melancholic way to end their run

What makes Picard so awful is too long of a list to fit a QRD.
Here's the cliff notes instead.
>serialized story written by different people with no knowledge of what comes after the episode they write, feels like everyone just does their own shit every episode with no coherent vision for the overall saga
>mystery box bullshit to try to hook watchers in the first episode that ends up having a worthless payoff
>every character has their own personal arc and it's a 10 episode series so nobody gets any meaningful screentime, half the episodes somehow end up being filler that serves no purpose even though it's a mini-series that is supposed to all come together like one big movie
>distasteful political commentary shoved into just about every episode
>stupid, contrived plot bullshit happens constantly just so they can have the EPIC COOL scenes they want to have without putting any work into justifying them
>all the characters are completely unlikable, nobody has any chemistry together nor do they act like they're a proper team

The list goes on an on. Today I played Battlefield 4 for 3 hours on Hardcore and I missed what the series could have been. I could have had 2143 with crazy adaptive skins. I miss how when you'd get into a vehicle, your custom logo would be on it. Many a swastika was had in the prime of 4.
rejoice for those will never be ruined by modern development sensibilities. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not.
Burnout
Honestly, it's not just the franchise, it's the entire racing genre. I'm not bitter that sim autists are catered to more, I actually appreciate that something like that has an audience and they're eating good even if that genre isn't for me, but for people like me who just wanna ram cars off the road and not worry about oversteer and understeer throwing me off the track it's like a wasteland, I can't find any games that cater to my Burnout 3: Takedown mentality of "go fast, be aggressive, rock hard" other than Asphalt 8/9, which are fucking phone games and no game feels good to play with touch controls only.
The majority of those games simply got out-competed by titles that do the same thing but better
Rlm caused the sequals
Mike is to blame and Picard is his karma
I just want to see what Silri does with her Sith army.
>karma
No one deserves Picard.
delusional
all of them, not trying to be pessimistic or anything but all of them are in flames.
Rlm does
Their commentary is entertaining, if nothing else. I don't always agree with their takes, but I like to hear other's perspectives.
I've also enjoyed a few movies that I've only been made aware of by their recommendation, so there's that.
My man. I miss Arcadey racing so bad, only Cruis'n Blast scratched the itch recently but it was disappointly short.
Final Fantasy.
IV (Or II back in the day) was my first game ever. Didn't even know how to read and I beat it. I played them all and with each installment it just kept losing me. It'll never go back to be what it once was, and I know it and it makes me genuinely sad. Was it the Square and Enix merger? Was it Nomura's brand of "cool" seeping into each and every one of the company's products? Was it the change to a more anime-style characterization, plot and writing?
Man, when I was 10 it felt great to be a FF fan. I could say it to my friends with pride. Fuck, man.
the first bullet point is enough to convince me, thanks user
was this the show where the trans person chided her commanding officer for using the wrong pronouns in the middle of a battle?
I used to watch for half in the bag only but these days I enjoy Best of the Worst more, since I just could not give less of a shit what new movies are coming out anymore, 90% of it is capeshit, 5% is actually good hidden gems, and the other 5% is pseudo intellectual garbage.
Jak and Daxter
Halo
For me, the worst part of my favorite series declining isn't what's happening to the series itself, although that does hurt. A lot.
It's that it's spiritually dead yet financially doing better than ever. It's that people keep defending and buying the games no matter how bad they get, rewarding the developers for their increasing incompetence. It's that the new games completely fractured the community around the series, and now trying to discuss it meaningfully is borderline impossible.
I would've preferred the series dying quietly or dying in a way that everyone hated over this, where people adore the shambling corpse it is today and attack you for implying it was once better.
What series?
Street fighters, Mario, Megaman x and Final Fantasy
>pretend
You don't have to like them but most of those guys have actually done on set work and production pre-RLM, that Greeley Estates picture that's always behind them in Half in the Bag was a band that Mike either directed or produced the music video for. They've definitely shat on movies I enjoy but on a technical level I'd say their word holds more value than just random nerds like Nostalgia Critic or James and the Screenwave fatties.
Im gonna guess RE
People are more miserable than ever and everything new has a mandatory woke quota with token strong black woman and tranny moments
So in response the demoralized person just wants comfortable old thing, so corporations take that same thing and inject it with the same propaganda people are fleeing from just to remind you it's current year and there's no escape, it's intentionally done to taint your memories and feelings towards the old material
We all know nobody likes this shit, none of these reboots or sequels infested with woke shit make a profit so the reason it's constantly shoved in is idealogical and it's done out of spite, because you manbaby chuds didn't like ghostbusters 2016
Paper Mario and Sonic

Call of Duty, Quake, Battlefrong, Battlefield, Counter Strike, Pokemon, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Final Fantasy, Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, Metal Gear, Castlevania, Tekken, God of war

Can be applied to most modern Capcom series really
>It's that it's spiritually dead yet financially doing better than ever. It's that people keep defending and buying the games no matter how bad they get, rewarding the developers for their increasing incompetence.
Honestly this is the worst, not the financially doing better part, if that's happening good on them I guess, but they can enjoy that without me. But like, I can deal with something being worse, it's when it's clearly worse than the original but you have people defending it that bothers me. This is a problem in general, like I'm not offended when a franchise I like goes to shit or someone makes a shitty decision, I'm just sad. But I get frustrated when I see people DEFENDING it's downfall, or DEFENDING a bad decision.
My only catharsis is those autistic 3 hour youtube videos deconstructing why the new thing is bad, but like, the only reason a 3 hour autistic echo chamber is cathartic is because it makes up for all of the soijak people acting like I'm irrational for pointing out that the franchise I like is lacking the things that made me like it to begin with.
It's not a crime in my eyes to be an optimist, or to be more open minded about a new direction for a series, but can you at least spare a moment to understand why I would go to a franchise for a particular kind of thing and then when that particular thing is lacking I wouldn't be as happy about it as you are?
Has gaming gotten worse or have I just become a cynical old man?
I'm 22.
>reddit letter memia
Back you go.
Games became a service and a hamster wheel regardless of genre, we are at a point where games are either complete garbage or random indie shit.
The industry at it's lowest point in it's entire history but yes you are also probably a cynical old man.
