Why don't we ever get any good Godzilla games anymore?
Why don't we ever get any good Godzilla games anymore?
We don't even get good Godzilla movies anymore.
The Monsterverse movies were good. As was Shin Godzilla.
The Hedorah short film was good too.
>Godzilla just comes over and starts shit while Hedorah is taking a rip off his bong.
>Destroy All Monsters Melee remains the greatest godzilla game of all time.
Gamera>Godzilla.
>loved DAMM
>new game announced
>only had a wii of the new consoles
>hated waggle
>figure I'll just wait for the next iteration
>there is no next iteration
Monsterverse movies were overproduction Hollywood garbage that appealed only to marvel npcs and secondary godzilla fans
They're better Godzilla movies than most of the old Godzilla movies, but OK.
>Jet Jaguar will never get the respect he deserves.
Missed out on Save the Earth, user
Probably the best we can ask for until someone can mod Unleashed to not need waggle
Did we ever get them?
>Buzzwords
lol didn't read
What are the best Kaiju movies?
unironically where should i start if i want to get into godzilla movies
The first one
He did, sort of. In that weird Godzilla SP anime
The original and the 1954 American version.
The one that doesn't have the first clue of how Quantum Physics actually works?
>Theres a decent Pacific Rim fighter that acts as a decent Successor to Destroy All Monsters and Save the Earth
>Its delisted because fucking rights issues.
Shut up nerd
Doesn't the director/writer have an actual PhD in physics?
>built on the skeleton of godzilla
>can channel godzillas samurai spirit for power boost
>gattai with jet for super boost
Kiryu is the coolest
I've thought about it a lot but I can't think of a way to truly capture the best Godzilla experience in video game form. Arena fighters like DAMM and STE are too loose and arcadey, which I guess is fine for Showa-ish antics, but Godzilla and the monsters were always at their coolest when they felt huge, heavy, and imposing, which most people would probably find boring to play.
Yes that one
It was weird
Having a PhD in physics and having a PhD in Quantum Physics are different things. But according to Wikipedia
>then went on to the graduate school at University of Tokyo and received Ph.D. for a mathematical physical study on the natural languages
>Only barely controlled by humanity.
>Kills itself.
For me, it's Destoroyah
1954 is a great movie regardless of genre. From there it depends on your tolerance for campy nonsense, but the Show era movies, basically everything from 50s to the 70s, have their ups and downs, but thankfully many can be skipped since they're unrelated. Watch everything Heisei (Return of Godzilla through Destroyah), it's an actual continuity and the worst of them is at least solid. Millennium movies (Godzilla 2000 to Final Wars) are a mixed bag, some are connected some aren't, I'd say all are decent to great other than Megaguiras but that one has its fans too. The Legendary films are okay.
Chronological order
Aren't you missing one?
I hate to be that guy, but when we're dealing with a series about giant monsters and radioactive mutations, quantum pseudoscience is hardly a detractor I'd think.
Yeah, the technobabble sounded pretty dumb, but when you want some giant lizard fighting some big robot, you have to let go of realism at some point.
And Godzilla being a spacetime destroying singularity was kind of fun.
They weren't even better than the fucking 98 movie
EDF is the best godzilla game
I made the buzzword post and I 100% Gree. 90s movie felt like it had much more heart than the legendary godzilla movies (even if it was just a dinosaur in New york disaster movie)
TO SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH FROM ANY ALIEN ATTACK!
>they're making a Godzilla vs. Kong sequel
>after Kong lost twice to Godzilla and the movie ended with both of them calling a truce
Now here’s a game that needs a port/remaster
It's less "calling a truce" and more "Godzilla decided not to obliterate Kong after helping him despite all the beating Godzilla gave him"
Rodan is my favorite. Always and forever.
>gets killed by humans
>able to fight against Godzilla in its most powerful state and weakest
what did they mean by this?
You can indeed mod the waggle out if you use the Dolphin emulator.
Still has some of the best special effects and cinematography of the series.
Hell, Godzilla didn't even want to fight Kong in the first place. He was after Ghidorah's remains.
He recognized that mecha godzilla would have btfo’d him had kong not helped
>The army actually causes more damage than the giant iguana.
>Supposedly weak to extreme temperatures
>had to be taken down by both Burning Godzilla and the Absolute Zero cannons
Destoroyah is stronk
He was that but he was also 100% willing to give Kong a beating seeing how he attacked him during transport
>US military is the real monster
Yeah that level of realism was refreshing
The military was 100% shown to be incompetent at hitting a giant 20,000 ton target and needed to be told by a nerd to hit it directly on a giant bridge. This was also 1998. I always found it strange how horribly they were portrayed when most movies wouldn't be caught dead insulting the US military.

>refuses to elaborate
Heisei Ghidora is one of the sickest sci-fi movies
Final Wars is underrated
It's the perfect anniversary/send-off film for the entire series through that point.
You can tell that the guy playing the Xilian leader was having a lot of fun in the role.
>Most coolest design finally gets a figure.
thank you Jesus
I have a soft spot for this movie as much as I hated it, saw it 4 times in theaters as a kid. It's now comfort food for me but I'd never recommend it.
We did. It's just stuck on PlayStation 4.
the perfect game doesn't exi-
What Godzilla kino should I watch tonight? Last Ive watched was Shin. Thinking the plant one
