I'm too smart to buy into gimmicks

one day.. I will experience. Chair.

I didn't know chairs were a thing people complained about

Unless you're an Herman Miller shill, any cheap office chair is fine.
VR has NOGAEMS.
I actually have a 4K 120Hz OLED.

I kinda wish I could experience a good chair.
I have an okay chair right now. But, like, how much better can a chair be? Will I sit upon it and feel like I have never known comfort until this very moment?
Will all other chairs be ruined for me, and my desire to find peak comfort drive me to homelessness as I struggle to afford my new chair addiction?
What if I get older, and can no longer feel that level of comfort? Knowing forever that it's past, and I didn't capitalise when I could have?
Sometimes it's better just to stick with what you know.

You can get full VR for only $300 now, and most people realised it's a scam

Should probably get one of those chairs, my current chair feels like the spring is going to fuck my asshole soon if I don't replace or fix it

>VR has NOGAEMS
alyx
boneworks
bonelabs
walkidng dead saints and sinners 1 and 2
blade and sorcery
h3vr

aerons are better for lighter people. gamer chairs are better for fat guys

yeah that's it tho
t. i own headset and only play alyx boneworks blade & soecery and h3vr

It's not fair. My grandfather spent years in the mines scrapping together all he could and could only afford a step ladder.

I find Herman ugly and overrated but I disagree that just any office chair is fine. I bought a €60 chair from IKEA and it hurts my back after a while. I recommend to spend at least €200 on a good chair if you play for several hours a day

I've used a chair like that in an office. It's fine but in no way is it a game changer like VR is. 4k hdr needs a good enough TV. My $300 4k hdr TV doesn't get bright enough to properly use the HDR. Same thing goes for my HDR monitor. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt because I've seen good displays before, just haven't bought one.

This, plus you can resell it very easily after you got bored.

I bought a chair from fucking Aldi and I don't have this issue. wtf is Ikea's problem?

I have all 3 of these. The Aeron is fantastic, 4k is amazing if you're not retarded and get a 40" monitor minimum, and VR is a complete waste of time and space.

Colors on the Index suck compared to the Quest 2

Add audiophile headphones and you get the Holy Square.

Why is there a triangle in the picture

I bought a herman miller aeron and returned it within a week. Unless you are like 120 pounds, its a meme. Get a 24hour chair, not a ergo chair.

I'm too poor for the other two, but I bought an expensive chair since I realize I spend 85% of my life on it ever since working from home, and my life massively improved. I spend some nights sleeping on the thing because it's so fucking comfortable. Definitely recommend.
VR was decently fun the one time I tried it and I'm sure 4K/144hz looks great, but I'm used to whatever the refresh rate I have is and I don't really feel like I need to blow money on it when I mostly play indieshit anyway.

>steelcase gesture
>index too old, waiting for deckard
>1440p 240hz

>single 75hz monitor
>gtx 950
>storebrand chair from Staples
>ikea desk is a mess of hollow pipes and grates

HDR is shit just a way to induce eye strain with bright flashes, 3D screen was better

Because triangle is an essential experience

what is going on in this image?

Can anyone explain why so many retards on this board unironically believe nobody can see through conspicuous consumption?

An elephant is being forced to suck up the fumes from soldering.

The people complaining about Aeron are either contrarian, sour grapes or have never tried it and don't understand how good a chair can be.

DIY fume hood

Buy a herman miller. Better than anything you've sat on before and lasts literal decades. The warranty on my Aeron is for 12 years and as I understand it they stay good for years after that.

>tfw never experienced the glory of the embody

Stay mad peasants. My back will be fine thirty years from now unlike you.

I have all 3 and they're all overpriced for what you're getting since I spend more time playing switch games and decades old sandbox MMOs.

>VR
low quality games with graphics from 10 years ago and more hardware requirements then modern games
>4k
no ones care since you can only notice the difference if your TV is 72 inches (useless for gaming setups)
>Orthopedic chair
a gaming chair from china has the same value and more gadgets like lumbar massager, adjustable arm rest, leg rest support and more (high end have a warmer for the back)

I will be dead long before my shitty posture becomes a problem, no need to pity me.

But comfort will escape you now. Ill enjoy my throne with a 10 year warrantee

>have quality, comfy chair
>have 4k 120hz screen
>no VR because it doesn't interest me
Feels good to enjoy games as I see fit.

I have a rift s and I still enjoy it, but I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a VR headset as their main gaming outlet. Mine will sit there for weeks without getting touched, but I knew that going in. VR makes more sense as a peripheral to play games a different way every now and then, it's the same as when racefags buy wheels to pretend they're really driving, or pilotfags buying sticks to pretend they're really flying, or fightfags buying decks to pretend they're really good at fighting games. It's not meant to be used all the time, but as an occasional diversion.

i own a VR headset its great i own a mesh chair it was great till the back stopped locking i don't own 4k 144hz cause i have a GTX 10780 but im sure its great as weell

No. I have a full VR room all PCs are ran off 3090s connected to OLED 65 or 48. VR is not a meme but most people I see will be to fat and uncoordinated to play it.

>tfw can't buy a self-lubricating chair with straps that can fuck me
I've never understood these fancy office chairs and as far as I'm aware, the research on them hasn't been in place long enough for us to know the long term results. Right now I just sit on one that's slightly uncomfortable that forces me to move around a lot which I figure must be better than just sitting in the same position for hours.

If something is over 500 dollardoos I'm not interested.
The only thing I'd even consider paying more for is a graphics card, but I got my brother-in-laws old 1060 for free so I don't think I need to upgrade it for at least a decade.

where's the CRT?

up yourt fucking ass fuck you ho

You forgot SkyrimVR

vr is a shit 2 good games for 1120 dollars is a scam

in grandma's cellar, where it belongs

It's a great chair to sit in, but its meh if you want to lounge in your chair.

That's cruel, poor elephant doesn't deserve those toxic funes ;-;

All the fatties hating on VR because they can’t stand for more then 5 mins. Anyone that says 4K doesn’t make a difference is a poor fag and has never used it u are repeating others in forums no original thought. There is a huge difference even at 27 inches.

Just sit up straight you fucking lardass

I just took a comfy office chair from work

>Stealing from your employer who was generous enough to give you a job

What in the fuck are you talking about.

>vr
no gaems, sold my cv1 and didnt look back
>4k
no hardware hits consistent high frames, 1440p is the choice now
>chair
theres tons of good chairs retard

My employer stole my surplus value. The chair is me reclaiming it.

consoomer cope thread

Yup I get the most bang for my buck.
I still only have the original HTC Vive because I can't justify spending so much on the new model.

I only upgrade when I find a reason.
Might upgrade to the 4000 series if it can finally play Cyberpunk 2077 fully maxed at 4k 60fps.

Who said steal? They let me have it because they ordered too many

>they ordered too many
aka whoever placed the order also wanted a free chair. this is why unions are a mistake, filthy wagies stealing from the workplace

I'm so sick of living pay check to pay check. Working retail has been fun, especially day shifts but I need to go back to overnight shifts. At least I earned enough doing that soul crushing shit.

I'm not in a union, it was just plain old retardation I took advantage of

Kevin this is why you won't make assistant manager.
