>Vampire Survivors
>peglin
>Rogue Legacy 2
>Patrick's Parabox
wtf, it's unironically a 10/10 year for indie games out of nowhere, and that's no even counting all the more obscure games, updates for older games, and games that didn't come out yet. AAA industry is a complete joke at this point
Vampire Survivors
>peglin
Not NEARLY enough content to call it a 10/10. It's a 7/10 at best, and a 5/10 when you factor in the TWENTY DOLLAR price tag.
>Vampire Survivors
I got Nomad Survivors recently, it's fun too.
Any more games like those?
don't forget
>Andrew's Game
>Death's Door
played a demo for this
store.steampowered.com
has potential
Play Soulash
>>Andrew's Game
what is this? I can't find it
This shit is gonna be GOTY
Looks cool, thanks man.
>Andrew's Game
Might be refering to Crystal Project but not 100% sure.
I wanna play peglin but i'm not paying that price tag. Rogue Legacy is alright but i see a huge grind in front of me, which is a little worrying
Are you a girl(female)?
I had a lot of fun with Tunic as well
>ugly-on-purpose
>moron devs still adding shitting, sharting, farting, adolescent gross-out shit like it's binding of isaac
It's a disappointment just like the first game.
Doing stage 4 and this felt fucking great to do.
>60k gold on Stygian study
How? I only get 10k on the average run, even with traits that give me extra gold.
Stage 1-4 with 128% bonus gold, got 45k and found the skull relic that obliterates yourself for 35% bonus gold or something. Managed to go from 4/10 for the bonus gold upgrade to 10/10 and had some leftover, was awesome.
Oh I see, I didn't try to just run all the zones. Is it worth the time investment?
Crystal Project.
Yeah, that shit was basically made for me because I love pachinko and am a sucker for goblins, but right now it's a flash game you'd play for 3 hours and shrug your shoulders, not a full release. Needs another year in the oven.
It's not even a 5/10 when it's so fucking easy that it's boring. You have no business being able to win your first run.
Anyway, all these games were shit. thejaspel.itch.io
Yes, but you want to go from the highest zone you can easily clear to the lowest that way you aren't spending chip damage for lower yields.
With a high enough trait bonus yea. I think I had black and white trait and everything goes dark if you get hit. It helped that I had a relic that heals me if I kill with a crit as a barbarian.
If you have pacifist just do stage 1 and 3 first since a lot of money on stage 4 comes from killing the enemies.
rogue legacy 2 just didnt click for me. i also really hate the music in the game. sounds so fucking bad especially the character selection and castle building tracks
Been playing Dungreed again since RL2 came out. It's a pretty blatant RL1 ripoff, but much better.
Game's been getting sneak updates and has way more shit to do now since I last played.
I don't know why exactly but Rogue Legacy 2 frustrates me a lot more than Rogue Legacy 1 did.
I find it entertaining to clear these games with as few deaths as possible, but maybe it's the significantly larger castle size in combination with the bosses being of higher difficulty, that throws me off.
Feels like I lose more whenever I lose comparably to Rogue Legacy 1, and that a fresh new game attempt takes a lot longer to get anywhere compared to the first game.
The meta-progression looks absolutely brutal in RL2 compared to 1. The amount of shit on the castle upgrades is staggering including all the weapons PLUS their upgrades.
Yeah.
Endgame RL1 got really, really bullet spongy. Which honestly kind of sucked balls.
But the general movement and controls, while relatively simplistic, was still fun. So if you just ignore the high difficulty area bullet sponges, RL1 was really quite fun and satisfying to play at death0.
But with RL2, even though I feel like the general core movement and combat and everything have been improved, I still really feel like the game really wants me to die a lot. Like a lot. And more so than RL1 wanted me to.
it felt like there was a bigger grind wall for the average player.
nah, play the demo it's a legit game
How about actual good games and not more Roguelikes.
>Coromon
Finally a decent monster taming game with amazing art.
>Crystal Project
One of the best RPGs released in years.
>Salt and Sacrifice in 3 days
A game that will guranteed be of higher quality then Elden Ring. SKA Studios never misses.
None of OP's games are roguelikes
Played the demo for this, very fun
store.steampowered.com
Taken directly from their steam page
>Peglin is a Pachinko Roguelike
>Somehow Rogue Legacy isnt a Roguelike
>Vampire Survivors isnt a Roguelike.
Are you fucking retarded?
inb4 "roguelites"
What's supposed to be special about crystal project? I admit I haven't played much beyond the tutorial, but it just seems like a generic jrpg to me.
I was surprised by how fun this game was but I don't like how quickly you get the permanent item upgrades. Regardless, the differences between classes and the relic system really add a lot more uniqueness to the gameplay. Each class plays different and if you don't like a classes weapon or talent you can just explore until you find a weapon/talent switch room AND get a blessing on top. Shit rocks.
Further, the teleport system lets you brute force shit which makes it better,
Well the people shilling the game said it so it must be true
The devs stating themselves the game is a Roguelike isnt some stranger shilling it.
Massive world. customization, open endness, difficulty. Sequence breaking.
In game settings to ease up on the grind if you dont like it. Active dev talks to players and updates regularly.
Its honestly the best RPG in many years.
>En
>Carried by your dark folly, you decide it's time to teach those white pieces to fear
Hard pass. I don't play racist games.
It's a bunch of old school RPGs mashed into one with focus on customization and a bunch of options.
It is generic in terms of story and shit but the focus is on interesting gameplay.
That souds very interesting.
I don't get why people play AAA games anymore. Indie games far surpass them. I also enjoy the occasional private server. Project Ascension classless WoW is alright. Enjoying Vault of the Void now. Like Slay the Spire but better
>devs can't shill a game
Do you not know what shilling is?
how does the architect work? I don't really get "locking"
Normalfags literally shit on anything that isn't trying to be realistic grown-up games.
I'm waiting for Source of madness which is coming out of early access soon iirc, I enjoyed the demo.
Also waiting for Swordship, Farthest Frontier, Terra Nil, Rain world DLC
The only reason normalfags do anything is advertising and, unless they're a rare case of a game taking off and basically advertising itself like Valheim, AAA games have more advertising
This is pretty fun, I'm shit at chess but I've always liked unorthodox chess games like Really Bad Chess. Also I can't believe this isn't produced by Devolver Digital.
>Are you a girl(female)?
god I wish
Aren't you tired from roguelites? I deleted almost all of them once I fully realised how they want to force you to play hundreds of hours in a game with a content worth of few hours.
Only good roguelites is where the core gameplay is good like Nuclear Throne or Into the Breach but it's extremely rare.
have you tried noita?
>Aren't you tired from roguelites? I deleted almost all of them once I fully realised how they want to force you to play hundreds of hours in a game with a content worth of few hours.
I don't play roguelites like that
Lord help me, I'm actually enjoying RL2's lore.
Locking before entering the island reduces your gold gain but doesn't change the map.
Consecutive locks reduce gold more and more, eventually hitting -100%.
You should only ever do it to practice bosses, since it lets you teleport straight to them if you've already found the boss room.
I absolutely don't mind if the variety is there.
The Binding of Isaac laid the template for a varied and replayable roguelite and I wish more took inspiration from that rather than making stuff like Rogue Legacy 1 or Dead Cells which get boring real quick due to extreme repetition with little variety.
Something about Rogue Legacy2 didn't sit well with me, guess I got filtered. Might give it a shot later, after I complete a few other games
Vampire Survivors is not a good game. It's a gacha without you pumping money into it
Haven't played Peglin, heard it's Early Access? Won't play it until it's finished
First time hearing about Patrick's Paradox
Tunic is a good game, but fuck autistically doing the fairy collecting
>vampire survivors
what a turboshit game
people are unironically playing flash-tier cookie clicker games and praising them
jesus christ what happened to Yea Forums
I smell larp
>Something about Rogue Legacy2 didn't sit well with me
There's trannies in the development team, I assume you started noticing the signs. Most of the games mentioned in the OP have tranny developers.
Maybe your problem with RL2 is the lack of novelty. It does nothing new or original, but it's a finely executed game and I appreciate that, specially considering how it manages to be a perfect example of a sequel, mogging the previous game to death.
>start barbarian with diva and exploding casket for big bonus but still easy
>find stew straight off
>find falchion
>double chains
>amaterasu
>freon
Holy shit it was a powertrip
Void train is coming (soon) Scorn apparently has a date (supposedly), Moduwar is this year and Lorn's Lure is dropping 2022 too. It's looking to be very interesting.
