Didn't OS2 also start as early access? Since they actually managed to finish one early access game, i can give them the benefit of the doubt and believe they will finish the game, but I refuse to finance early access demos.

What stops me from actually committing to a playthrough of the currently available content is that the character creation options are pretty meager. There just aren't that many fun subclasses in the game yet. I like wizard in D&D but Abjuration and Evocation are about as boring as it can get.
Also, have they fixed reactions and bonus actions yet or do they still use the same shitty system they used when the game hit early access?

Yes. There's no reason to believe they're scamming people. Not wanting to finance a early access is a smart thing. People should just wait for the full release. Game might be coming 2023 q1 or q2, but who knows at this point. Swen might have gotten too ambitious with the Original Sin money he got.

I don't HATE Baldur's Gate 3, but I think a lot of it is just so painfully cliche that it holds very little surprise at all. What I do dislike tough, is the icons for the abilities in combat. I don't know why they couldn't just be simple, clear and logical drawings and had to be these weird neon abstract shit. Also the fact that they couldn't figure out how to make the game fun using D&D 5E's magic item/loot system and had to invent new shit to fill all the gaps is funny.

You pass dev costs directly to the consumer which encourages early advertising pushes in order to shift as many EA sales as possible.

The only thing that keeps me from buying this game is a lack of UI and font scaling options. I use my 55” TV as a display and I sit 10 feet away. The stuff on screen is too small

Why the actual fuck does this need to be in Early Access? Well established studio with plenty of money well established game series/multiple levels of brand recognition. I even heard that whenever they patch the game, your save file is kill. Absolutely unforgivable for any game, let alone a fucking RPG. I think I'll stick to BG1/2.
