I was listening to the Super Best Friend SpoilerCast where Pat and Woolie spoiled a lot of the game and started talking about the lore and it got me interested in the series. Ended up buying P3, P4 and Digital Devil SaGa for like 20 bucks.

I used to loathe anime and was gonna play them ironically, but I ended up loving it. Now it's one of my favorite games made, along with P3 and P5.

I started playing Persona 4 because a friend convinced me to play Persona 3 and that led me down a slippery slope of Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga. I was really edgy back then so I hated P4 but playing P4G made me appreciate it more.

Oh, and my favorite piece of music from P4 is Your Affection. It's got a bitter sweetness to it that's hard to really capture with words. Something about the chords mixed in with the lyrics that make it come across as both positive yet sad. But P4 has such a fantastic OST that it's really hard to just pick one. Heartbeat, Heartbreak, Corridor, Alone, Snowflakes, Sky Full of Stars, Corner of Memories, Heaven, Almighty, like christ, there's so much more too

because I played SMT 1's fan patch by Aeon Genesis, then played most of the other megaten games I could find/get, and Persona 2 blew my mind. I moved and lost the disk, so I couldn't finish it, but I didn't even realize that it was 50% of one 'story' and that Atlus was retarded as fuck and even if I had finished it I wouldn't have understood what was going on until the PSP port of the other.
