>defeat boss
>rest at grace
>open "secret" door littered with messages
>jump down
>another grace
>touch it (don't need to rest)
>door with a message
>"try gesture"
>get my ending fucked
fuck you Fromsoft. fuck you...
Defeat boss
skill issue
you didnt beat the game
>get my ending fucked
you can fix it, retard
good luck with that lol
you were given plenty of warning signs
you can't even open the door unless you strip naked, can you
You clearly never played elden ring because theres a way to remove the frenzy flame.
that's where the messages part come in, dumbo
yeah dude just do this long and winding quest to undo fromshit's troll.
fromdrones everyone
>waah I got tricked into getting a different ending
so?
Yeah. And what "gesture" makes you get naked?
exactly how it went down for me. glad they included a way to undo it which was pretty eady to find assuming you're a completionist (a bit sad it doesn't fix your relationship with Melina tho).
>oh man I wish the ending I got wasn't so shit
>YOU MEAN I HAVE TO GET INVESTED IN THE GAME'S STORY WHAT THE FUCK?
>burn fag
the one where you see a naked guy gesturing
>Get naked if you want to open this evil door
>yeah sure
>wait why are you embracing me I didn't want this, I just took off my clothes to show my commitment that's not commitment NOOOOOO
So you just so happen to be naked when you opened that weird door?
I deliberately did this because I didn't want the chick who gave me a vehicle to burn herself and die
It's the best ending. You're reborn in the ashes.
You fucked up your strawman. You forgot the part where resting at the grace after the boss gets you new dialogue from Melina telling you NOT to go forward and that the frenzied flame is bad.
Also if you don't rest at every grace you touch at least once you're a literal subhuman.
>Get naked if you want to open this interesting looking door
>yeah sure
>oopsie daisy here's your cinematic without any choice haha
oh do you mean this thing that shows up 2 maybe 3 times early game buried at the bottom of the list? sure buddy.
let me guess. next thing you were gonna do is correct me and say that she'd talk to you as soon as you rest. well guess what. she didn't show up when i rested at the boss. never post again, retard.
>another retard who can't deal with the consequences of his own actions
man fromsoft really did a number on you retards huh
>without any choice
Don’t get naked and open the door
>gets naked in front of a mysterious door
you knew what you were doing from the start
it's the best ending though
>don't explore the game
this is how you sound right now
>try gesture
What? Don't you need to very specifically try to get that route and even finalize it by talking to the girl who tells you to destroy the fucking world by talking to the 3-fingers, and then gett naked infront of the door to even open it?
This is bullshit.
You are literally required to strip off all your armor just to open the door to get your ending fucked. It's not something you accidentally do.
>This is what I was wearing when I was frenzied, tell me I asked for it
>do long and winding quest
>regret it after functionally completing it
>blame fromsoft
nigger-tier
you fucking moron there's a literal message on the floor showing you what to do. this isn't the first instance in the game where you have to gesture or change equipment to open something. get it through your thick skulls.
Do millicents quest line, get the needle, go do the secret dragon boss in the 2nd to last zone and stab the needle in you there and you can choose what ever ending you want. Stop being a faggot.
>I don't look at grace sites to see new dialogue
>Why don't I know what's going on?
Also, that dialogue option shows up AT LEAST 7 times for Melina in the early game, 3 more for Ranni if you do her questline, 4 for Ranni if you go back to her tower. There's probably more i'm forgetting about, that's just off the top of my head.
doesn't change the fact that i didn't get those warnings. so either you're completion autist or a guide reading shitter.
Dude it doesn't affect your game like at all. You get yellow eyes and loose out on a few endings (you can still do rani's ending). You don't lose out on any items and you can reverse it. If you care about the ending just look up the other endings if you already beat the game. Quit being a baby.
Yeah but the fact you don't even question it or wonder why makes you a complete fucking retard.
Do you just join every covenant that pops up without even checking what they are and how it might effect your game?
>Fingerprints all over everything
Somehow I never noticed that until now. Neat.
i think what he's trying to say is that From should have at least let you see what's behind the door without locking you into a cinematic. he probably thought that there was the next zone behind it but instead we got a 4x4 empty room.
>defeat boss
>forget to spend runes
>go in secret door
>wow this is craz-
>died and lost all runes at the jumping part
>just off the top of my head
>Hurr you must've read a guide
And I think the point that user is trying to impress is that he's fucking retarded.
If you want video games dumbed down to the point where you have no choices except to push forward through shooting galleries to more cinematic cut scenes then might I suggest the Sony Cinematic Exclusive Experience.
Your first mistake was to buy fromhacks shitty 5th fucking demon souls reskin. Then you have the gall to call others here fromdrones as soon as they turn on you for being retarded. Newflash genious, you're a fucking drone, and fat gooks are swimming in your wageslaved money while they work on the next fucking mod of an earlier game to sell again, at full price.
>where you have no choice
well that's the problem sort of. he wasn't given a choice but a curiously looking door with a choice hidden behind a mandatory cinematic.
You didn't get the warning because you weren't paying attention you fucking dumb zoomer
>he wasn't given a choice
You were.
You took an action without thinking about the consequences, and then crying about the consequences, which are reversible.
This isn't just opening a door, there are a series of specific actions you need to do first which should be all the warning you need that something is about to happen.
He could've chosen to actually pay attention to the game
>playing a fromsoft souls game
>not following a guide
ydbtg
least intelligent post on Yea Forums
The worst part is that it doesn't make sense. Your character literally walks up and offers himself to the thing with no input on your behalf. If the fingers just grabbed you against your will as soon as you open the door that would at least feel like you fucked up. But the fact that your character willingly gives himself up to it means there's no excuse for not offering the player an explicit choice, like any covenant.
>getting this assblased about a video game
This argument might make sense if the game was full of such huge and dire consequences for exploring the wrong area or opening the wrong door but it isn't. Up to that point the game encourages exploration and rewards you for finding weird areas and jumping through strange hoops that are presented to you. In no way does it give you any indication that something like this could happen.
>there are a series of very specific actions you must do first
The same could be said for lighting the fires in the underground area to wake up the stag guy, but that had no bad consequences, it just unlocks a cool boss. If the stag grabbed you as soon as you lit the last fire and completely changed tour ending and fucked the story with major npc's forever, that would be dumb too.
*cracks knuckles*
>You were.
nope
>You took an action without thinking about the consequences,
can't know what those consequences are unless you've spoken to all npcs and read all items and then made a connection somehow that this one specific door had the specific consequences
>and then crying about the consequences,
nobody is crying. you wish it so though.
>which are reversible.
through just as a cryptic and long process yeah. but how would a player know you could reverse it? only if you read a guide. also, you don't fully reverse it. it affect an npc permanently.
>This isn't just opening a door, there are a series of specific actions you need to do first
look at message. see it says to gesture. silhouette of a naked player. done.
>which should be all the warning you need that something is about to happen.
obviously warning were shit to begin with.
>tricked into getting the best ending
>still complains
kys
i can't believe frombabbies are defending shit
I agree it shouldn't trigger just by opening the door. You should have to press X to "embrace the frenzied flame" or something. That is how most irreversible actions work in fromsoft games. It's not a big issue but it really should be that way.
>NOOOO I JUST WALKED AWAY FROM THE BONFIRE
>I WASN'T TRYING TO START THE AGE OF DARKNESS
>AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SAVE ME SHAZAMAN
Why does it even matter? Is your life ruined because you got a different ending to a bideo game?
A bideo game with a NG+ built into it.
thats fine compared to the whole "sit and listen to fire" prompt at the fire giant cereal bowl which kills most questlines you haven't beaten
>Can't criticise something dumb and annoying in a video game on a video game forum unless it ruined your life
shoo, retard
How is it ruined? Fuck the lands between. It deserves to be purged by cleansing fire!
>NOOO NOT MY HECKIN 15 SECOND CUTSCENE WITH 3 LINES OF DIALOGUE THAT LITERALLY DOESN'T MATTER FUCK YOU MIYAZAKI
all endings are trash and don't matter, just like every souls game.
>"try gesture"
Havent played the game. You have to remove all your gear which isn't a gesture, and its reversible, and its the best ending.
>he wasn't given a choice
>some guy that you can't miss when you enter of the giants tells you to go get the frenzied flame and screams about chaos taking the world
>you have to platform all the way down
>malenia tells you multiple times not to do it
>do it
>UHHHH DUDE HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW?! NO CHOICE
OP read a wiki but didnt read the last part probably
you can see player's phantom who left the message, bub
>open "secret" door littered with messages
Stuff like this is why I decided to play offline for my entire first playthrough. And of course stay away from internet gaming communities.
