can confirm chao gardens are back. they're biomes in the overworld and you need to cook food to feed them. enemies don't drop them anymore. certain chao give you boosts or ring replenish to incentivize raising them

If they're going for BTOW but Sonic it might work, as long they stick with what works and making running around the world fun
