Perfect example. LID's weapon based combat is 3 hit combos and one gimmick attack with R1. Every weapon feels identical and nothing tickles any itch until you can do a goretastic move.
Same, I have never done such a hard and fast 180 on my enjoyment of a game. That intro was great.

I actually prefer games with multiplayer where people siege your defences that you build while you could be offline. Far more fun than generic pvp shit. Especially if you can replay what happened and see shitters get obliterated by stupid shit you placed

i played let it die for like a few days. i would definitely buy it if they made it a normal game but there's no way im touching any more f2p shit they dump out
I feel the same, especially because in Japan, you can buy a physical version of the game with an exclusive premo decal. For NA, we can only buy the decal.

The post popular weapons Chopper, Machete, Sword all do the EXACT same shit. Then everything else does the same thing but are shorter or longer. It's always swing right, swing left, then stab or strike down, strike down, into a swing. That's the whole game.

Nigga I know every gimmick this game has like how you'll hit a fucking wall since you're stats don't fucking reach the level the boss are on until you upgrade a specific weapon like the iron for floor 20s and I'm telling you every hunter uses at least one of those 3 weapons. The rest from the lion knuckles to the yo-yo they all follow 2 weak hits into a bigger hit. And the most optimal play involves just using the 2 smaller hits since enemies can't react out of them in 1v1s.
If you know every gimmick, how the hell have you not mentioned the KAMAS, the M2G, or the flame wand and only mentioned shit you get at the very start of the game?
Range weapons are not indicative of the game's combat. No one play COD and says it's "combat" is good.
