Not that user, but you have MGS3 in your 3x3 bro, there's no need to sell it to you. It's a Kojima game that is a Bladerunner VN that takes like 5 hours to complete, you'll like it no matter what.

Yeah it's a pretty long game even if you're not a completionist and you're just focusing on the story missions, and if you are a completionist or care about grinding in any way it'll easily last you 100+ hours.

I can't tell what I'll like until I play it.

mostly it's just a really tight strategy game. it has insane depth without being retardedly complex like nethack and shit like that.
there's a ton of randomness, to the point where each run almost feels like a completely different game, and i still learn new things after 1000+ hours. yet it maintains this perfect balance. every decision feels high risk, but the better you get the more you realize the game seemingly never deals you a truly impossible situation.
if you tried it once and didn't get it, it might be worth another look. it only gets better as you understand more of what's going on. and if you get a decent streak going you'll realize there are layers to the game you probably haven't seen.

3/4 just couldn't get into splatoon after the first. Put all my eggs in the "surely it'll be more than just a glorified DLC" cope and got burned for it. EO4 is my pick of the list though.

Thanks, famicom. I've been somewhat into shmups ever since I was a kid (Had R-Type and Space Invaders for Game Boy) but I REALLY got into them in 2004. Espgaluda was my gateway drug into bullet-hells, and I also discovered some other classics I missed out on, like Einhander, Silvergun, R-Type Delta, and the Darius series. Managed to get Einhander for about $30 around that time.

yeah you're meant to figure out by experimentation and looking at the symbols. if you really think that part of the game just isn't for you, you can look up a guide for the translated help text
