Recycling is now a galactic emergency
Much love
From
The galactic council

wrong

>pop babysitting simulator
meh

Is there any camera mods that shift it around to various sights? I rarely use the map view after I get started and would love to just have an animated background of my stations, fleets, and megastructures while I manage planets.

Brainlet here. War hurts what can i do. I have positive resource and 3+ planets.

Can I play it drunk? Im going on a bender tonight

I haven't found a good tutorial by which to learn it properly.

hell no

have you tried the in game tutorial by chance?

Sure you can. Game is piss tarded easy. Ignore he's a fucking brainlet

When you see unemployment, build something
Science and alloys are the only resources in the game, everything else should only be produced when necessary

>want to like grand strategy
>but not autistic enough
at least civ5 and endless space 2 are fun

Attached: d-left.jpg (889x750, 121.97K)

Because you havent tried, play the ingame tutorial and you're good to go. Everything else will solve itself once you get in the game.

Learn by doing, get cheat mods to help you out in the learning phase, then eventually you'll find yourself learning more and using cheats less. They're training wheels

...

I was told to treat it as a space empire simulator for my first game or two and not as a strategy game. That's what got me into it. I learned the basics, then learned more, and finally more or less the entire game. I'm don't play on Grand Admiral, but I have fun.

I love it.

>stellaris
>grand strategy
its RTS for babbies

>game crashes 5 hours into a playthrough
>even if i reload and do different shit it still crashes
Every time.
Also steam workshop sucks shit.

Thats the price we must pay for such beautiful vibrant diversity.

Game is like 300 dollars and I'm too lazy to pirate everything. Looks interesting though. Even debating trying out the console edition on gamepass lmao

Try playing the tutorial they give you in the game you dense retard

This
Pirating and installing the game is a chore, each individual dlc comes with its own installer and because this is para*ox there are dozens upon dozens of expansions, flavour packs, dlc.

>Do a playthrough when a new expansion releases.
>Finish it then make some races.
>Forget about the game until next expansion.
What a cycle.

I can't get gud, it makes me so mad.

This, play a real mans 4x

Pathetic

play the game, then restart a few hours later when you realize you've fucked yourself. do this maybe 2 more times and then you're good to go.
don't do this shit.

Please god the Khan woke up 50 years early and he was in the centre of my empire, I need help
>Got it, should Tiyanki be protected?

>Lustful Void is now abandoned

Based. The best end for that shit mod

Trying to work out what you did after playing it pissed is always fun, you never know who you pissed off, vassalised, conquered, or got fucked into the ground by.

nobody actually plays aurora, they just think they are playing it
you can't prove me wrong

>not 1
You are like a little baby.

it's not even in my top 10 space games

It went to shit the day the removed different FTL options
God I miss wormhole stations

no way anybody actually plays this

pffft

Attached: 576546435452342.jpg (1280x720, 146.82K)

This
what the FUCK were they thinking?

Its a shame because theres a lot of great shit thats come in since.
At least we don't have to deal with the sphere of influence anymore, that shit was a fucking nightmare if you wanted to hold a system with good resources against a spiritual fucker.

admittedly, one is way better.
Yes
It's awful, I've played it. Nothing about it is manly

name?

Aurora

Not even the best in its own genre. Endless Space 2 is better.

Continually ruined for the sake of "multiplayer balance".

no point
by the time you learned sometime they will released new patch and change the system again

do they let me make a race of space furries who worship their grand psychic queen empress?

Becoming the Galactic Imperium and putting the galaxy under your boot is great.

>Not playing Servitors and becoming the Custodians purely to save the organics before stepping down.

No, the race options are nice, but you can't really roleplay anything. Strength is in details and what you get to control. I know the devs would hate to hear this but the lore is not so good..

ty mate

I like the mega structures mods, but I hate the damn planet craft. Games already simple enough in its rock paper scissors meta, planet craft make it even worse with it being the only viable late game option. Good thing you can turn them off.

>born with a brain too big for Stellaris
>born with a brain too small for distant world, shadow empire, etc
it's not fair bros

oh hey, a stellaris thread.
I'll post the literal magic I recently found
hit ~ and type in ticks_per_turn 10
stellaris actually becomes playable

if you want to know what it does, it just makes calculations happen once a second instead of once a milisecond. the base is 1. read it as 01. changing it to 2 is less drastic but literally doubles the speed of the game.

>Without the shadow of a doubt, the greatest retarded faggot mankind has ever produced

Attached: op_fag.jpg (225x225, 6.64K)

Does it change game speed or just alters increment at which events proceed? If former this shit should be in settings available to user because they can't optimize their shit.

It changes how often shits calculated.
I autopiloted to seconds in the explanation which kinda fucked it but I'll reexplain it better.

You could say a Stellaris day has 10 intervals. By default, Stellaris calculates every fucking thing at every single interval in that day. This is why Stellaris can't handle high pops, every single pop gets calculated 10 times a day. which is fucking insane at higher numbers.
Typing that in changes it so everything is calculated once a day. So 10 days takes as much calculation as 1 day. Everything still happens as normal, the AI might just be 1-9/10th of a day slower because it can't make 10 different decisions in one day but the end result is the same because most things happen per day or per month.
The only downside is it lags the shit out of the UI and battles aren't as pretty to look at. At lower values, such as 2, you can still halve the amount of calculations per day without the visual issues.
The UI lag is entirely irrelevant though as you just pause to make decisions and there's no lag anymore. The speed increase at 10 is so fast that it's actually too fast if you're doing anything but waiting for time to pass so you're gonna pause anyway.

Should I play this game? Heard a lot of good stuff, but I am not a strategy person.

No.

Someone kind user please make me an autistic lithoid civ. I've started and Alt+F4'd the game up like 5 times yesterday but I can't figure out what traits and government and stuff are proper for autistic rocks. Thank you in advance. Also finding someone to play with would be really nice but I'm not read into multiplayer minmaxing so I'd probably be worse than the anons here.

Attached: 1644912215084.jpg (1024x576, 44.33K)

Have they improved AI yet?
Heard pops got upper limit - was this changed?

Attached: 1506422973609.png (592x562, 407.72K)

It's one of games which aren't that good as game but good as simulation of whatever shit you want to see, space civilization of your choice in this case. Gameplay is pretty meh and simple, it's about roleplay.

I've barely played it since 2.X. Have they made it fun yet?

I get bored after 5 hours or so
are the end game Crisis fun? Never made it that far

Not that guy but when I first played it 2 years ago the game tutorial was bugged as hell and just stopped at a certain point for me when it told me to do something that I literally couldn't at that point. They kept updating the game but failed to update the tutorial to match it.

>planet districts make food/mineral/energy (reliant on planet population)
>planet buildings make other resources (also reliant on population)
>construction vessels to build shit around planets for extra resources
>build outposts after surveying system to expand territory
>always be surveying systems with science vessels
>can also use science vessels to research anomalies/dig sites (rng events)
>always be researching obviously
>don't skimp on military
you will figure the rest out with experience, don't worry if you fuck your first game up

>play necrophage
>they are fucking shit
>can't breed
>can't build elevation chambers on primitive worlds because reasons
>get killed by fucking non-necrophage mutts
Great dlc guys!

>are the end game Crisis fun?
In my experience either you steamroll it or it steamrolls you, probably the former if it's not too early and spawned on top of you.
