I prefer to do everything in discord. You can just setup a server with your partner and posts your sheets in there 'n stuff.
I just never got into it. Having to sort through a bazzilion kinks and decide which ones I like when my preferences change all the time anyways sucks.

I tend to not write a lot of character backstory since I feel that that doesn't add much to the ERP anyways. What you actually do in the RP is what's important.

You can filter kinks on flist. You can even search through specific categories like "type of character" or "watersports" or whatever. You can also compare your characters kinks to theirs and it'll highlight them all.

Not intentionally. I made a slightly muscular female roegadyn paladin in FFXIV though, and was assumed to be a woman. I simply told people I didn't want to talk about IRL stuff much and was polite, so this DPS guy I ran dungeons with in my guild assumed I was a girl and asked me out. I told him I was a man and he flipped his shit and told me I was the worst person ever. He'd never asked me if I was a guy/girl before that at all, or really implied it even. He had asked if I was dating anyone, and I had just said, "No. I'd rather not talk much about IRL though". Fucking lonely autist. Made me quit FFXIV because it was awkward with the guild after that. Most of the others thought it was funny though and didn't care that I was a dude.

Making a super detailed character is just not my style.
I tend to have an idea like: "Sexy goblin girl with big tiddies in an urban fantasy setting gets herself an idiot boyfriend because he has a big dick."
Then I just make up a name. Some physical details like her height, and write like 4 sentences of backstory. I then flesh her out through the RP.

I put way more effort into what kind of story and setting the RP takes place in.

My sister and I have shared a steam account for years and we use her voice on mic to milk free stuff out of thirsty dudes with zero self-respect. Works out well since whenever we want to break communication I just start talking and they either chimp or get so embarrassed they stop talking to us altogether.
