I'm gonna make my own version with lots of spellcrafting, pluss it will have active spells.
So you buildlevel up to conjure up some insane spell that you have to aim yourself. Maybe it'll be 3 buttons, 1 Dodge and 2 Spells. Maybe add a shield/parry depending how hard/complex enemy attacks become. But the main thing is gonna be spellcraftng.
Thinking about frostbolt into freeze, into shatter into aoe nova and slow of surroinding enemies. And then slow enemies take extra damage on next hit. Or if you do shatter with a fire explosion you get a burn effect instead.

It's too easy, extremely shallow (can figure out optimal things to buy in few runs, now i can basically never fucking die even with max curse) and is a time waster as every game where the goal is to last as long as possible instead of optimizing your time.
