bravely default starts out really fucking hard on hard mode but late game you become broken enough that difficulty is irrelevant.
Final boss can still kick your ass if you don't abuse the combat system to its max though.

chaining fights for multiplied exp is the best thing in the series and every jrpg that doesn't do this is objectively inferior now

I figured it would be like that. Chapter 1 jobs don't allow you anything so crazy. Knight and Monk can hit hard, I guess.
And double mage is surprisingly good in a game where I can save turns.

Don't worry I already spoiled myself. I'm not much of a JRPG player, turn based isn't my thing. Haven't played in well over half a decade, didn't get far, plenty of other games to play instead of trying to play that again.

I also enjoyed second. Even though the characters don't have the chemistry they had in default, the battle system was polished and classes were improved overall.

Now, BD2 is fucking shit.

once you clear the first chapter, youll have some very useful classes for mixing. Spell Sword in particular lets you do much godamn damage with a knight or monk, with time mage stuff being quite a good support class to let your healer do things other than spam cura.

almost every class in the game has something really worth using, level them all and go nuts. youll need to late game anyway.

WHat’s the difference between the first and bravery second ? What did they specifically change that people hate the sequel??

the main reason people dislike second is because of the censorship and localization that fucked up magnolia a bit, it's not even the fault of the original game. But other than that it's set in the same world and it reuses a bunch of stuff from default (it's not like default doesn't reuses itself). also music is not as good. But it's still a 9/10 compared to defaults 9.5/10
