the only one i've ever played was some shit called metin2, once you got to level 30 or so it became the grindiest game ever made, cheated the fuck out of that one.

you could teleport, change attack speed and weapon range.
at a certain point someone figured out how to make attacks instantkill by editing the .ini files by making weapons do infinite knockback and yeeting mobs off the map.

I never got the impression the people cheated that much, I played a lot on the same servers with regulars and with comp-clanfags who took their reputation seriously. After a while you could generally say if someone's cheated but if you know most of the people the chances were really low.

I've regularly killed speed hackers in APB: Reloaded because I have over 5000 hours on it and they're EXTREMELY predictable. Someone speedhacking will ALWAYS just go in a circle, it's not hard to predict that shit at all.

My friend used to be part of a big gameshark hacking scene in SOCOM 2. Apparently he "made" cheats, though I never really understood how he could figure it out at like 11 years old. The cheats were pretty wild, like noclip but only after death.
