slightly better than daggerfall, slightly worse than oblivion/skyrim.

Sit down and be humble TESboi

Oblivion is the fucking worst one, fucking fight me faggot

My guessis this is the only open world you have ever olayed.
If you excuse the graphics, gameplay, and world then yes it is a fine game.

For any retarded zoomers who got filtered you just join the mages and fighters guild and travel literally for free to a bunch of different cities and stock up on free potions
There now the game is a hand holdy adventure

Is working around bad mechanics really the goal of Morrowind? No wonder it is forgotten.

>drinking potions
>bad mechanics

what's bad about them?

Its not a quest icon you can fast travel to get

I'll play it when Skywind comes out

P.T and armored core 6 before skywind

The fast travel system was designed to be inefficient to give Morrowind a sense of scaleut did not have.
NPCs are pkayer centric. They wait for you in one spot for eternity.
NPC interaction is fairly unengaging.
Combat uses Die Roll.

Do you want me to continue?

>Oblivion is the fucking worst one
Best soundtrack though

Shut up romanian kun

sure
fuck Skywind

Pardon my autism, but the way someone consumes a potion is based off of the effect:

>Potions of Mark and Recall are thrown at the >ase of one's feet

>Potions of levitate are splashed onto the base of the body to float the mass of it

>Potions that add damage effects are applied to weapons (or hands with h2h)

I can't remember how the other applications were done, but you get the idea.

Unironically true.

I have more fun playing Skyrim desu

Morrowind has good worldbuilding, lore and atmosphere. Morrowind or rather Vvardenfell really feels like a thought out place with considerations to what they eat, where they shit and what their tax policy is. However that all gets thrown out the window when the quests are boring, the game progress is wildly unbalanced alá alchemy and the core gameplay as in the jumping, attacking and overall movement is the lamest shit there is. Yeah there are some player options such as deciding what house you wanna be and what awful vampire clan you're gonna gank yourself with, but the game doesn't really allow for much roleplaying just like the later games, only unconventional quest solutions which the others also allow for. I like Morrowind and I think most people do but there is an extremely vocal minotity which refuse any discussion, and thus its status on the the 'chan has become so noxious.

What a shocking turn. When given points to debate you choose a hissyfit. You are the worst possible ambassdor for Morrowind.
Anyone looking in see you doing everything you can to not answer a pount. Just incessant whining someone doesn't like a game from two decades ago.

I like it because its an interesting world. Thats what open worlds should be about.

>The fast travel system was designed to be inefficient to give Morrowind a sense of scaleut did not have.
Doesn't that mean it served its purpose? No video game (or book, or movie) has ever or WILL ever successfully create a 100% accurate and immersive fantasy world with as much complexity as the real one.
Working around technical restraints and using gameplay trickery to successfully emulate as much as possible of reality sounds like a good thing imo

shut up faggot

Morrowind is a case of the stage being gorgeous but the play itself sucks.

Remember to sage esl threads bitching about morrowind or pcsx2
Fat gay romanians are not welcome

It is an effective mexhanic but still bad. Loading screens as filler is a bad idea even if it serves its purpose.
I don't like devs that don't respect my time.

>It is an effective mexhanic but still bad.
Sounds like you're just determined to hate the game for (You)s tbqh

Attached: 1536347206639.jpg (225x225, 6.89K)

I hate fags who hate this game

>Fat gay romanians are not welcome

what makes you think there are romanians in this thread?

If you are fine with being given busy work by the devs more power to you. I am less forgiving of devs who don't respect my time.

>go to Sadrith Mora
>create +int potions they raise int by 100k for 100k sec
what now?

No one posting on Yea Forums respects their own time try another line faggot

Name ONE game that succeeds where you think Morrowind failed in terms of map design/systems of travelling around or fuck off

user thinks the Romainian exists in every place Morrowind is discussed. They simply can not come to grips with the fact a twenty year old game is not universally beloved Quite the contrary

Consider changing hobbies then

Skyrim. RDR.

If you lurk v long enough youll find his repugnant postibg in off hours specifically bitching about morrowind and pcsx2

why ask me, smarty pants?

it is literally one guy though

Attached: romanian.jpg (1828x900, 254.13K)

Why would I do that? The devs themselves see the wisdom of my point. My opinion is the prevailing one among the fans and devs.
There is no need for me to change my hobby as I am happy with the direction.

Please explain how Skyrim's fast travel adds to a sense of scale

I have come into a thread to point out a flaw and he has accused me of being the Romainian from 8 hours earlier.
I think user is not only paranoid but autistic. 8 hours in one thread is a bit much.
I wonder how many hours a day user spends hunting his Romainian.

Skyrim does not have to trick you It is a large world space.

are you implying Skyrim doesn't use the terrain to mask its size? what do you think all those mountains are for?

Climbing

Because there is a very specific schizo with an incredibly recognizable writing and argumentation style who's always in these threads. Look out for every sentence being a new paragraph, misspellings of long English words and specific characters names (vivec as vivek), the word "hissyfits" to describe anyone who's sick of his bullshit or when he fails to bait an argument, ancient blog posts blasting Morrowind because the schizo literally can't come up with his own arguments, and floating punctuation.
He's one of those completely retarded lorelets who comes up with exclusively the worst and most contrarian interpretations of TES lore to own the "MKult" (in this case just people who don't despise the things MK has written in the games) for having the correct interpretations of concepts introduced into the universe through in-game works written by MK.

Daggerfall > all other es games

Morrowind was a huge disappointment. I was expecting a huge world like Daggerfall but with more content in it instead it's a tiny scripted world

>implying

talking about Skyrim not Daggerfall
there isn't any climbing

True and based

To add.
Compare the mountains in Skyrim to the inclines in Morrowind. In Skyrim extremly steep inclines will be impassable without a horse. In Morrowind even a slight incline was treated like you were wearing roller skates.
The former made sense, except forvthe horse part, while the latter was designed to frustrate exploration. There is a reason magic is so popular in Morrowind. It can get arond much of the bad design.

Each one after Morrowind became slightly worse, simplifying and taking out things and overall less effort. Oblivion for example simplified dialogue, very few voice actors, copy paste oblivion gates (same 4 ones every time) fewer factions, fewer guilds, less long questlines, less strict requirements, the list goes on.

He got beat the fuck out of vrpg so hard he spends all his time here now

Unless you are going for a semantic argument over the word climb you can climb mountains in Skyrim.

>My guessis this is the only open world you have ever olayed.
Learn to type first of all, and secondly Morrowind was quite a long time ago now I doubt it's the OP's only one.

quality over quantity I guess

Except it's not quality either, shortened questlines make it feel unimportant because you race to the top of the guild in no time at all. They also removed guild rivalries/relations, faction rivalry and having them be connected to the main quest and such. In Oblivion and Skyrim they feel disconnected from the world.

I have never posted or even visited that board. Not really into nostalgiafags reminiscing.
I have visited tesg but there is nothing close to TES being discussed in there.

I don't know who this Romainian is or what he did to you but I am thankful he exists.

>bad design.
Why is it bad?

True they may be more forgiving of antiquted mechanics than most. Hipsters are like that.

Because he doesn't like Morrowind. If it's in Morrowind and he doesn't personally like it, it's a bad thing. You should see his brain spin when you point out that, because of how Oblivion's leveled lists work, exploits and cheese that are optional in Morrowind are explicitly required to do normal amounts of damage to the HP Pinata enemies at high levels.

Stop shitposting with the bait, it's still shitposting and doesn't benefit anyone. If you're unironically a zoomer then just go play ADHD games

Why is it bad to punish exploration on foot? Unless you think forcing a playstyle is a good thing punishing a player for exploring in a Bethesda game is never a good idea.

Are you still stung over that?
