this shit is full honk cryptic and absolutely unplayable without a guide telling you in which order to find what secrets. to overworld 3d bullshit was also annoying and ugly as fuck. the gameboy gargoyls quest was so much better than the snes version. one of the best gb games, maybe ever.

still doesn't change the fact that it was a huge mess, the 3d overworld sucked ass and backtracking into some bullshit level all over again only to break some hidden wall with an item/weapon you've found behind some other hidden wall in some other shitty dungeon, somewhere, to proceed is the worst. Especially when you consider the GB gargoyls that came out years before and was so much better in every single way.

I've noticed a degrading in the use of Carlos over the past month. Did something happen? A big jump in Carlos usage, but by people who don't know how to use it.

I don't understand why some people have such a hateboner for this game, they act as if the game is not balanced around flying with airborne enemies and spiky sections like the one in the towers, and the backtracking is not such a big deal because the stages are pretty small and when you do backtrack, you usually get to see a whole new section.

I swear, some people's brains fucking implode when they have to see a location for the second time in a playthrough.

I love all three games, and honestly the overworld is the least intrusive in the SNES one. You don't have to slowly traverse it DQ style, deal with random encounters, or talk to fuckos in towns, you fly to a place, you fly in, you're in the stage.

You're right. This is the game I was thinking of. I remember this being hard as balls.

Yeah, my brother owned that. I remember it being okay, but nothing really stands out to me. It's not like there were a ton of good racing games on consoles to compare it to. Not really until Cruisin' and Gran Turismo, really.
