Mostly what I was expecting from the site preview, but has a lot of potential as long as they go all out in making passive ability conbos and the like matter so you have to weigh your options when deciding whether to use EGO or save sin points and similar.

Well, it seems alright. Looks pretty, too. I like the idea of EGOs and passives working of one resource.

The chain got a lot bigger than the start even if they only ever seemed to interact with the two bottommost rows. Gonna be fun to see how long it lasts for traditional gameplay before going apeshit like Ruina did in the final third and having enemies start stealing your emotion resources and using EGO themselves

It looks more autistic but I have a suspicion that the ridiculous shit you can pull off will still have shades of the UNGA BUNGA in the end. I also have faith that considering the different build variety they experimented with in Ruina that this'll also (I hope) give people more leeway to produce weird, workable shit. Also give us Phillip you pajeon shits.

Early ruina but it doesnt have the card element that drew me into it. The candy crush stuff doesnt look fun to me

The color match stuff is just resource generation and possibly also how well you perform that turn. The real meat of the game seems to be in the strategic decisions - by building up your resources you can activate character passives from both your active party and reserve team, but you can also spend those resources on EGO attacks which could potentially deactivate your passives but in exchange you get a powerful attack and an extra passive.

gotta get those enkephalin™ boxes to make them come back to their senses mid battle. Gotta make tons of money

So basically
>each identity has a list of skills with different damage types and values and each tied to a sin
>your pool is randomly selected from these skills which you chain in classic gacha connect 3 style
>this causes your nuggets to do ruina battles based on those skills, as well as adding points of the corresponding sin to your pool
>your non-participating sinners activate a passive once you have certain amounts of certain sin combos in your pool
>in addition you can spend sin to activate EGO, which is a ruina-style big dick attack with a corresponding long term buff, but this may deactivate some passives so you have to weigh your options
>also sanity is a mechanic (maybe related to the longer missions beyond a single combat) and leads to EGO corruption which looks sick
If I've got all that right then it certainly has potential, and I trust PM to at least try and utilize that potential. Whether it filters the whales and causes a flop is another matter but I'll have faith.
