Shitty bait, op. This is now an Amon thread.

Not played 5 yet but the boy band cover art always gets me

YUME

>Best Yakuza game in terms of content and variety
Very good OP

Imagine being the Amon Clan and you can't even beat a little girl who doesn't even know how to fight.

I'm sure Jo would've beaten Haruka at that dance battle.

I like Yakuza 5. It's stuffed full of fuckin content and makes zero sense.

>getting killed by the easiest amon

The 3rd best yakuza, zoomer.

kys

filtered by baseball kino

It's not my webm but I'm pretty sure everyone died to one of those R2 counters once just because no one else does something like that. He didn't do it in the Battle Dungeon if I remember right.

Jo can barely defend Kiryu's businesses safely and you think he can beat a little girl at dancing?

can you still read the manga in the remastered 5?

Shinada alone makes this game a masterpiece.

you Shinada said that, OP

I will never understand most of the game's plot decisions, but the plot twist where Majima and his ex wife were actually friends with the guy who faked looking for him and unknowingly had one of his subordinates kill Park will always stand out to me as the most bizarre writing choice.

Yeah but it's just one page

What will RGG do for the next non-mainline gameplay spin-off? They haven't had one of those since Ishin in 2014.

no idea.
they said they had multiple thnigs in development, which could be other IP's since they did develop that remaster for virtua fighter 5.
might have a completely new IP like binary domain, since they did say they want to surprise people iirc.

I'm pretty sure the devs just wrote the story from beginning to end with the intention of writing whatever seems most dramatic at the moment, without considering character motivations or anything else. That's why you get crazy shit like Baba getting Saejima's parole rejected so that he won't be able to leave prison, but also planting the Majima death story to get him to break out, but also hiring Kugihara to stop him from breaking out, but also trying to stop Saejima himself once he gets out.

I'm playing it right now for the first time and I'm enjoying it so far, I'm still with Kiryu on the first chapters. Don't know if it has the best gameplay but unlike other Yakuza games, I'm rarely bored while I explore the city.

>now time to set up my sniper rifle to attempt to assassinate Haruka despite having basically no motivation to whatsoever

>binary domain
Holy based, what a game that was. Sega seems to be so good at those one offs, like The Bouncer

I have the best memories with yakuza 5 along with 0, I can't really describe that but no other games in series came close to being remembered like that and I didn't like 5 that much while playing, maybe it was minigame plotlines (hunting, baseball, princess league and street racing in 5 and cabaret with finance in 0) they were very soulful but kiryu's minigame in 0 sucked

>now I obviously drop it but this gigantic looking hobo comes talking about the rules of baseball and shit and breaks every bone in my body despite me about to leave and not actually kill Haruka
Being Baba is pain

Still one of the funniest moments. I can only imagine being Baba in that situation because it would be one of the most confusing moments in your life.

I think about yakuza 5 every time I see someone post this.

i mean if you unearth some average shoveled out pig food from ps3 era you'll eventually stumble on this

Kek that whole thing was so unnecessary

Everything in Yakuza 5 was unnecessary. That's what makes it so great.
It's like the writers put all the effort into giving Shinada as much kino as possible while spontaneously throwing together everything else. Stealing signs to dodge a bullet made me cum so goddamn hard.

I can't express how much I loved this substory. My sides were in orbit when the interviewers would get extremely serious and just fucking dig into her, paloomp.

Ending was kino, everything before it was trash.

So, what are you guys expecting for the next games? Personally i would love if they did something similar to fatal frame 3, a horror game where you have to scooby doo throuh the supernatural mysteries of a town on the day (onomichi since it was peak country bumpkin comfines), on the day it would be pretty much a slice of life game and at night you get teleported to this sorta limbo

Attached: 51T99T2SHTL._AC_.jpg (351x500, 37.8K)

this. CHADzawa is the best final boss and ultimate filter to faggots who don't pay attention and play Yakuza for the memes.

Attached: Y5_aizawa.png (1846x1036, 2.3M)

I miss Shinada.

I got so fucking pissed after waiting through 4 other shit characters only to play as Kiryu again for 10 minutes in Kamurocho before the chapter ends and you get switched to another literallywho character.

At some point I'm expecting them to do a historical JRPG with Ichiban and friends. One guy suggested to make Ichiban Goemon. It would also let us see if they're actually willing to go through with localizing it instead of pulling the "Baka gaijin Japanese history" line again.

I'm still expecting a third Judgment it's just locked to Microsoft and Sony with no PC release because it's still one of the most popular games in the entire series. Considering they're doing a live drama with Kimura they must have made some sort of deal with Johnny's.

Anything past that is up in the air and we have no idea if they want to take risks with spinoffs because the last one we had that wasn't just a modification of the main combat was Dead Souls. Hell, you can even argue against that statement if you want. Black Panthers are dead in the water and who knows if they're going to ever bring Tatsuya back from America or Kiwami his games.

Yup Yakuza 5 is garbage

I pray to Segata Sanshiro every night, hoping Yagami stays the main character of Judgment. I hope they're fine with just fucking over pc a bit to keep Judgment on consoles with the character who has the best gameplay in the franchise.

so how many characters do you actually play as in this game?

5

Kiryu, Saejima, Haruka, Akiyama, and Shinada

Has the best cities and the kiryu taxi racing is amazing. Those two things alone make it not garbage. 3 is the garbage one with no redeeming features.

so haruka actually fights in this game or are her chapters just narrative driven?

She's an idol and does dance battles.

Ah yes another fucking absolute retard has the worst opinion again. Yakuza 3 is the best Yakuza game. It's the hardest one, it has the best substories, the best story, and the best cities.

There are two different modes of them depending on if you're doing a full performance or a street dance battle, and they're different rhythm games.

Attached: 1634328864626.jpg (1920x1080, 594.01K)

>even people who consider yakuza 3 the best in the series manage to forget about the exceptional non-substory side content
I just want more of the games to feature battle for survival.

She doesn't fight, it's either Miku-style dances for the main story or a dance battle where you hit notes based on where your d-pad is positioned + buttons.

I wish Haruka's songs had a difficulty similar to extreme in project diva games. They made her rhythm game way too easy.

Best ultimate matches as well

>They made her rhythm game way too easy.
It's because people are all over the place when it comes to rhythm games. You have people complaining that Hard difficulty in Taiko is way too hard when the song itself is a joke on Hard compared to basically every other Taiko song on Hard:
gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/239457-yakuza-5-remastered/79324367
That's why you get a bunch of tutorials before every single main story song and can practice the song whenever you want. I mean hell, I've seen people here saying getting above a 900 in karaoke is really hard and we're not talking in Oatmeal My Life in Kiwami, we're talking in most karaoke songs. The same ones where you have the ability to miss like 5 notes and "Good" a bunch of them and still hit above 950 as long as you're doing "Lively Interjections" while also having what feels like a half second grace period with a lot of notes.

Why do you think it is called Yakuza 5?

I wonder if that's was actually the direction they were going for and planned 6 characters for 6 until they realized too many characters turns the game into a clusterfuck so they took a break with 0 and then dropped the whole idea

>Oatmeal My Life
kek

>0 didn't have 0 characters
really makes you think

I actually loved the idol parts and playing the same 3 songs millions of times

>3
>hardest
The final boss battle against Mine is a fucking pisstake, especially considering that BEAUTIFUL EYES is legit harder

Wesker is the true final boss, Mine is just the victory lap.

It's so boring, I completed previous 5 games in 2 months but I am still trying to finish this snooze fest since feburary
