Tried to play this the other day and was trying to get used to the differences to the first game again because I've beaten 2 but never played this and when I reached second campsite the game wouldn't load the camp menu up and I was locked there. Turned the game off and on again and somehow hadn't gotten a single autosave. Should I push myself to play this shit again? Crashes aren't common from what I understand but it was tiresome kek

And you need them all at max trust, too, which is a pain without dlc. But once all the affinity levels are unlocked, those nodes get filled up so fast by sending the blades on the ursula missions over and over.
It's a nice thing to for and you get more quests and heart to hearts out of it.

I've been on a slump where playing video games wasn't fun and I decided to try a new game run of Xenoblade 2 again, and games are finally fun. How exactly does Poppi's nodes work for her specials? From what I understand it doesn't matter what level the node is at but rather the effect is solely determined by the equipped part. Right now I have a part equipped so Tora does extra damage from the front and have another part that boosts the level 1 special so that can clean up trash fights really quickly.

Yep. The red nodes have no effect on the effectiveness of Specials Enhancing RAM parts. A 10% heal part still heals 10% at level 1 and at level 5.
