Games you hate for a stupid/petty reason

Wut gaem is it and why Yea Forums? Gimme your most autistic, lame, petty reason for hating a game.

HARUDO MODO: No Elden Ring

I'll start: Gran Turismo 7 because it doesn't conjure up any of the good times and nostalgia I had for the series in the past. The racing is otherwise fine too, it just doesn't feel right.

I hate Rimworld cause the graphics look like everything is a piece of paper. Everything looks like a shitty elementary school drawing game with numbers. There is no weight or immersion.

Factorio, I just don't like the fanbase, they almost always sound like tourists that literally can't find any reason to dislike the game, but my opinion of it increased a bit when I saw someone go ballistic on a mod with a lot of tedium, that's the sort of shit I want to see in a Yea Forums thread

Bamping so more of Yea Forums can give me a straight answer

i'd even take a gay one at this point

>can't find any reason to dislike the game
but that's because the game is good?
It's been a hard concept to understand on Yea Forums for a decade, sure, but you don't have to be just mad at everything

>you don't have to be just mad at everything
That's kind of the point of this thread, talk about games you hate for some retarded reason or another.

All new forza games for being too slow.
I want the car to move faster.

Prey, the new one. I played on its hardest mode and had a blast and everything was tense and spooky, and right when you get to the part where the robots start hunting you down and stealth basically stops mattering I dropped it. Game spends hours and hours teaching you to play slow and careful, you spec your character for it, then for the last 4th of the game it's all thrown out the window. No I will not turn down the difficulty, horror games need that lethality to stay scary otherwise they lose their teeth. Fuck this game.

What's your idea of a fast racing game that's not some AG/Rollcage-style future racer?

any online game
can't say nigger no more

I don't like anything popular. I just wait 'till all calm down.

>what if prop hunt was a single player game but was really boring and inconsistent
Yeah. Nu-Prey sucks.

that's fair.
I fucking hate starcraft 1 because I can never get as comfortable with using the blind control groups as I was as a kid when it was the only game I played.

I didn't take any alien splices because I liked having allied sentry guns. Seeing gameplay on youtube made me realize I didn't miss much, game is much better without them.

i hate risk of rain 2 because it keeps my streamer from playing actually good games

>dalmasca reminds me of my shithole country
Fuck ff12

I don’t know about hate, but I think Assassin’s Creed 2 is VASTLY inferior to Assassin’s Creed 1.

The combat is oversimplified and boring, and the missions being these separate instance things instead of just stuff that happens on the world map is super lame.

I don't really think it's that petty, but farcry 3.
dropped it during the tutorial because it failed me for not using the fast travel. I just wanted to run back to the objective since there wasn't a time constraint and collect crafting materials along the way. made me feel like they designed the game for people who couldn't tie their own shoes without instructions.

I fukken lol'd, thanks for sharing. It is boring to watch IMO.

Yeah I remember playing a few hours or so and completely dropped off because I realized I don't like Arkane games outside of Dark Messiah.

>Forcing you to use fast travel
This makes my fucking blood boil.
That’s borderline unforgivable.

There is no truly flawless game, but loving a game with flaws is seemingly an alien concept for many because they believe that considering something a flaw inherently implies some dislike for the game. Loving something with flaws is a stronger act of love than loving something flawless because you love it despite all its flaws, and I believe that Yea Forums shines one of the brightest when there's tough love for a game; acknowledging the flaws of a game yet still loving to play the game. An excessive amount of Factorio players can't find anything to dislike about the game, not the barren world with only enemies and some resources, not the time-consuming research system, not the small variety of weapons or any other reason, petty or otherwise (not that I consider all of what I listed personal gripes), their mindless worship of the game (and swarming on dissent) is reminiscent of other communities on the internet where the opinions are one of blind praise for fear of getting downvotes or angering the moderators or whatever else serves to discourage people from voicing complaints. The Factorio threads feel to me like something almost antithetical to Yea Forums as a result, and that's my petty reason for not liking Factorio much.

I think, for me, AC1 was more interesting in every way from a story perspective. There was some gameplay additions that I liked in AC2 though.

>farcry 3
>climbing towers all fucking day: the game
Many reasons to hate that one.

>this kind of post
is why I make these threads. Thanks user

Paper Mario 64 & TTYD because the fanbase is a bunch of schizophrenic maniacs who think the multicolored mario enemy OC's and DEEPEST LORE are what made the games and not how they are a genuinely fantastic merger of classic mario mechanics with turn-based combat. this is extra evident when they fucking defend Super when its just as bad if not worse than Sticker Star and Color Splash.

You must be a sandniggers too then user

Here's why Mario Kart sucks

Attached: bye i'm daisy.webm (1280x720, 2.88M)

not a horror game numbnuts
that said, it's kinda the point of these types of games to be able to play how you want including the style you went for, so that's a pretty valid reason to fall off when you felt it was punishing you for your build

this isn't petty, this is a genuinely good example of why mario kart is borked as long as tracking items exist.

Call of juarez
Hated the online mode
Didn't even play the fucking story

same. I don't want to play something that doesn't trust it's player to find their own way to the objective.
>Many reasons to hate that one.
I wasn't expecting an amazing game, just something to pass the time. dead island is a guilty pleasure of mine. I would never defend it from people calling it shit since it is, but I still had fun playing it.

Not really a specific game, but games with 3D characters running around in pre-rendered backgrounds always feel wrong to me

>games with 3D characters running around in pre-rendered backgrounds always feel wrong to me
That makes sense, kinda reminds me of playing with Hot Wheels cars on one of those car carpet city mats.

LOL

Lupin the third on ps2 because when I watched the intro as a kid I thought it would be a cool and action packed adventure, but I kept getting btfo on the first train level because you weren't supposed to go in guns blazing.

i felt the same way about mission impossible for the n64, as a kid the party/ball mission with the red (?) carpeting was way too sutble for me

I wouldn't go as far as "hate", but I don't really like most of the SNES Mario games. SNES was my first console and SMW was one of the first games I played and I absolutely adored the art style and how good it felt to control Mario, but none of the other games scratched that itch for more.

Minecraft, it looks like shit, it's not a real game, its a game maker at best, and its way WAY too overhyped.

>Mission Impossible
I liked that game more than I should have, probably.

Bomberman on the NES because the password system is needlessly, unreasonably annoying. You have to use 16 characters and it doesn't use a keypad, you have the scroll through each letter to pick one. This wouldn't even be that bad but if you want to continue with the game still on it doesn't "store" your password like Bubble Bobble, you have to type it every time.

Attached: angered cat.jpg (414x532, 49.58K)

Xenoblade because it’s not Xenoblade 1, and it lets retards into the fanbase.

>it doesn't "store" your password
If it could do that you wouldn't need a password in the first place.

So you hate the whole franchise except the first one? Any redeeming qualities?

a thread this on-topic might not belong on Yea Forums anymore

Well sure it would, if you turn the game off you'll need to reenter the password on Bubble Bobble as an example since that game doesn't have a battery save. What I mean is say if in Mega Man every time you want to try again after getting a game over you had to enter the password to continue instead of just selecting "continue". Wouldn't that be annoying?
The reason Megaman has a password at all is for when you kill 4 or 5 Robot Masters and decide you're done for the moment, and so you write down the password to continue playing later. Not to have to enter it every time you game over.

>Skyrim
got fed the fuck up with the arrow to the knee jokes

I'm not petty nor stupid so none.

It hurts, I miss old Yea Forums even like 3 months ago this site was better what the hell just happened? Is school out yet for zoomers?

Summer is coming

At least your post is petty and stupid.

What's funny is that, from the very beginning, off-topic threads have always been more Yea Forums than we like to admit.

fucking hate the survival elements in tarkov, i don't want to have to manage my pmc's metabolism and fitness i just want to shoot shit

I know but the fun off-topic threads keep getting pruned halfway through now. So what DOES stay up is "Let's masturbate to vidya waifu" or "We sure need a twitter screencap thread right now". Threads talking about one specific game almost never reach even 100 posts anymore unless the game just came out or is MMO/Gacha shit.

Attached: Anger gorilla.jpg (569x571, 97.7K)

I hate the witcher 3 because moving Geralt and controlling the camera feels like steering a boat

>the fun off-topic threads keep getting pruned halfway through now
Yeah. Mods have always been niggers who tongue my anus, but there was a time when it was better, even recently.

They'll probably prune this thread now since I'm OP and I said that.

battlefield 2042 because it symbolises to me the end of a good friendship that i had since 2's days

I refuse to play any game made after 2015 starring a female protag. That includes Soul Hackers 2 despite me loving the original.

Witcher 3. I got the bad ending because I didn't know which actions would dictate the ending so I decided I'll never play it again. So what if I took money from the emperor or whatever?

you know they added an option to remove the delay a couple months after release.
the thing that made TW3 a disappointment was the constant gear and MMO tier enemy levels. should have kept it like 2 where everyone is on the same "level" and it's essentially just buffs and equipment that make a difference.

sims 4 because you can only use the up/down arrow keys to move the camera, instead of all four arrow keys like in previous games
no, I will not use WASD

the coomers have destroyed this board. if the soft porn threads were deleted this board could actually be funny

>no, I will not use WASD
based

not really. it would just get replaced with
>now that the dust has settled
>what game has X
>APOLOGIZE
>LETS GOOOO
>what's the X of video games
>how do we fix/save X?
>what went wrong?
etc...
the problem is the huge amount of traffic on the board. threads with decent discussion get pushed off too quickly because the board gets flooded with people posting template threads non-stop

Halo. It’s community is absolute fucking cancer. Made me learn that it’s never a good idea to get involved.
