It's fun, ignore the seething ITT. I also pirated to see if it's cool - ended up buying the base + some DLC for fucking pennies. Make sure you download/pirate the latest WH2, not something outdated like WH1.

I liked Three Kingdoms but every single campaign felt like it had a bad start, I couldnt find a single one that actually felt good to play
I hope the duel system comes back in other games though, that was a fun mechanic shame every other lord would just say no though

It will not take that long. They always fixed their WH games in a reasonable time. I guess it will be ready to play in a year or so. Haven't played it myself yet, because why in the world would I? I own WH 2 with almost all the DLC

Yeah, no point in playing it. WH2 Mortal Empires has ALL of Warhammer1 anyway. But the invaluable stuff is the numerous, minor improvements over the prequel like QoL etc.

In Q4 they are going to release a patch for the beta, and a minor update.

I couldn't get into it because of the miniscule faction variety and the same-y aesthetics (I know, it's an all-chink game, stfu). It has some neats features for sure. Just try it, maybe you'll enjoy it.

As others have said, it's incomplete but if you love the setting, then it's really good. Remember to install 1.7.1 bugfix mod, it's basically the 3k equivalent of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. Fixes a lot of shit CA never bothered to fix.
