Its funny that all it took was one lawsuit and now everyone is backing off, its almost like they all knew it was a scam in the first place.

square enix deserves to fucking collapse at this point

ummmmmmm our subscription money for ffxiv paid for those nfts

Define collapses. There's this really smug prick at my work who does overtime every day to invest as much money as he can into crypto and NFTs. Is he going to kill himself today?

>NFTs are QAnon if it were stock, if believing in a flat Earth could be bought and sold. They depend on the belief in their own existence to exist, requiring faith and religious notions of “worthiness” in order to flourish. As the planet hits the financial consequences of the last two years, it appears such faith is not so easily found.

God I fucking hate kotaku

It's for the best, embracer isn't stellar but at least they'll do something with the Ips and Square will be forced to focus on its core

L for Lara

Where's the lie though? Crypto at least has proof of stake, NFTs are people using technology INCORRECTLY (BECAUSE THIS IS NOT WHAT NFT SHOULD BE FOR) to try and artificially create collectibles.

>they sold Deus Ex?
>Crash it.

Isn’t that exactly how real monetary value works

No, lol, he will unleash the ULTIMATE cope and will spend even more money buying the "DIP" hoping to get more out of his investment when the prices "stabilize"

This is usually the regular behavious for people who are too deep into crypto, they would rather lose all their money than to cut their losses, because of that one time some dude with DogeCoins sold his shit and the price blew up later.
Little does he know, NFT's are unanimously hated and labeled as scams everywhere so theres no chance for them in it's current form.

Do you think Embracer will go for an actual action platformer instead of the cinematic faggotry?

Squenix is the shambles.

That's very chaotic

It's gonna be Assassin's Creed, worst of both.

>Google "NFT lawsuit"
>Get like 20 different results
kek. Which specific one are you talking about though?

>a market where everyone sells and no one buys collapses
OH MY GOD WHO COULD EVER WOULD SEE THAT COMING

im sure enough dumb motherfuckers thought it was a good idea

So many people want to believe they've got in on the ground level of the next bitcoin and are going to be millionaires.
It really is rife with giving addicts and scammeds willing to take advantage.

Same with shit like GME. Some people got really lucky and made big bucks off of that short squeeze in 2020, but everyone still in it now are people with sunken costs who are too afraid to let go.

Sure, if you get lucky on the stockmarket you can make a killing. But many many more lose out and it genuinely is safest to just follow one of those diverse indexes (doesn't the Dow consistently outperform even the top hedge funds as well?)

So is there anyone here who made some money off nfts?

i think i have the same idea too
investing in a singular stock isnt the best thing to do
etfs and such seem like a much better bet and the returns can get pretty far up there like 14% and such even though they are high risk they are still putting out gains 10 years later

A moment of silence for all the morons who fell for the nft meme

>Same with shit like GME. Some people got really lucky and made big bucks off of that short squeeze in 2020, but everyone still in it now are people with sunken costs who are too afraid to let go.
Those retards in WSB still waiting for the next short squeeze or something lol.

>people buy from creator because he has clout
>now you try to sell it off but obviously you are a no name so no one even knows about you trying to sell it
>even if they knew why would they spend so much money buying an nft from a no name
Reminds me of that guy who bought jack dorsey's first tweet nft for 2.3 million then tried to sell it and the highest offer he got was $3k

The was an NFT market?

>bro whatever bro you're missing out bro i put my life savings into this monkey jpeg bro just wait bro it will skyrocket bro ima be rich bro
nftrannies seem to forget that scarcity does not create value, an item has to be DESIRABLE to be valuable and nobody wants your ugly ass digital drawings, especially when they can be copied with a single button press

I genuinely don't understand how Square keeps surviving despite the constant barrage of awful business decisions they make. Final Fantasy isn't the money printer it used to be, and Dragon's Quest is a Halley's Comet that doesn't get new entries frequently enough to keep them afloat. Are the MMO and mobile game departments the only thing sustaining them at this point?

Cool, NFTs are backed by the American military?

It's only a matter of time before Saudi Arabia starts forcing countries to buy oil with monkey jpgs. That's when this shit really takes off.

Actually a good article. Not because of any journalistic prowess. It just so blatantly shits on NFT and this reflect my opinion so I will say I like it.

Every thing they make is profitable except balan wonderland

>Their big live-service e-sport game that they were banking on being a colossal success, Dissidia NT, disappointed everyone and was shut down after only about two years
>The cheap cash-in mobile game they made solely to promote it is still going strong five years later
>Adding insult to injury, said mobile game is almost entirely divorced from NT at this point and treats itself as a direct sequel to the PSP games instead

Dumb nips. Sega and Konami will be next.

And the Avengers game, and Left Alive, and The Quiet Man, and Babylon’s Fall…

>Konami
People are still buying yugioh products no matter how shitty or greedy said products are, so they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The Castlevania NFTs just seems like a side project for them that just happens to make them money.

i just really want squenix to go bankrupt. this is a step in the good direction.

Sega backed off on their NFTs and instead shifted their budget to their studios.

>Direct sequel to PSP
Whoa, really? Spoil me about it.

it doesnt say anything about dropping nfts
it's all about the "super games" which are for the nfts

Not him, but I assume the pepe one.

it doesn't say anything about nfts period you retard because they dropped it.

You have reading issues. Their super game initiative is making new studios and games. They just opened Sapporo. Creative Assembly and Atlus are making new IPs.

not saying anything about nfts doesnt mean they dropped it
it just doesnt need to be said because it was already decided to be their focus

>“It is a natural extension for the future of gaming that it will expand to involve new areas such as cloud gaming and NFT. We are also developing SuperGame from the perspective of how far different games can be connected to each other.”
the whole super game idea is about selling NFTs

The whole premise of Opera Omnia is that all the FF characters are supposed to be hanging out in stasis in a peaceful plane of existence to recover in-between the cycles, but Garland is such a fight autist that he starts fucking everything up and monsters start showing up in the world of respite. The FF heroes have to start waking up and dealing with things, but they still don't have the vast majority of their memories.

For the most part, the story had nothing to do with any of the Dissidia games including NT other than Materia and Spiritus being the gods watching over the world rather than Cosmos and Chaos. But it started tying more into the PSP games after the Act 2 finale, where Shinryu successfully destroyed the world of respite. The Warrior of Light managed to create a new world and sends everyone else to it, though Garland stays behind so that the two of them can fight for eternity. No one remembers the Warrior of Light in the new world and everyone instead believes that the Onion Knight was their leader the whole time. Most of the characters are separated, but all of the characters who were present in Duodecim have a shining light that acts as a compass leading them to the others. By this point, most of the characters have regained their memories, but now the Dissidia characters are starting to remember the events of those games and trying to figure out why has become a focus of the plot. We're still only about halfway through Act 3 though, so it's hard to tell how, or if, it'll get resolved. The bigger concern seems to be that the FF villains have started regaining their full power and final forms. The last chapter was about Kefka creating an army of Manikins of himself and trying to kill Materia and Spiritus, and you had to fight him and two clones while they spammed Light of Judgment, Trine, and Forsaken. Sephiroth forced Cloud to hand over his compass of light, and it looks like the next chapter has Safer Sephiroth as the boss.

SE tomb raider sucks anyway. Only weird male feminists play that shit
