Is easy to see why. Is the easiest path to find and the only one who feels complete and sort of satisfying (which isn't saying much). Any other ending only comes from looking for NPCs en very ridiculous places and bad timing and most of them goes nowhere. She is who kickstarted the plot of the game and presents herself as a rebel to the statu quo.

After Varre cuts your finger and you go to Sellen next she notices and shows concern. She offers to heal your wound and while doing so says something along the lines of “I know whoever that did this is watching, know that my apprentice is mine and mine alone.”

Melina's talks at graces should have automatically started instead of being in the menu so people would have actually seen them. She has the most dialogue in the game but people miss most of it.

Sucks she got turned into a ball of faces. She seems like she would have stuck by you no matter what.

Frankly I don't believe she has more dialogue than Ranni even now. But besides that 90% of her dialogue is just lore dumps about Marika.

I was considering going for Platinum, but I decided not to because I don't want to raise the completion percentage of the non-Ranni endings.
not only is Elden Lord the default, but it also shares the trophy with 3 other endings. guess nobody gives a fuck about gold man, hug woman, and poopoo man.

Nobody knows what triggers what at the end. They're going to click on the first thing they see. Which is her summon sign.

Yeah. I had this issue first time playing through. Same with being stuck on Ranni's questline because "oh of course I need to sit down at this particular bonfire and look at the bottom of the menu and see an option to talk to a little doll three times".
Especially because bonfires are usually so close together that I have no REASON to actually sit down at them, so I wouldn't even know there's a special dialogue at certain ones in the first place. Like with the Ranni bonfire in Ainsel. You get to that location via deeproot or renna's rise. In either case, there's a bonfire right before the transport so you're almost guaranteed to be fully maxed out on your HP/estus/etc. So no need to sit down. I just lit the bonfire and kept moving until I eventually got stuck.
