I think there's a different perspective on a lot of things, people aren't as skittish with nudity or certain adult themes but I wouldn't say they are necessarily more perverted. I work for a FAANG company and my team is constantly looking for more people but we can't find any that is skilled enough. I literally participating in hiring committees, do interviews, go around a lot of universities and workshops looking for newgrads/newhires, etc. Trust me, we cannot find enough skilled people to hire locally and we're trying our best.

Oh also, it's much much much cheaper to hire locals used to a lower salary than it is to hire someone from overseas, have them relocate here (including paying for all benefits and relocation expenses), with a higher starting salary (because you are competing with people working in the US that make like 3x-5x the amount of money for the same job), and who require months if not years of local training and specialists (for stuff like language courses, tax handling, immigration assistance, etc).
