>Finish Elden Ring in a month with tons of breaks >Burned out from it because it was huge >Thought it was okay in the end >Decide to play Bloodborne after a week or so because why not >No fucked up progression system, in 5 hours I already had three +3 weapons and one +6 weapon. Literally impossible in Elden Ring without extensive farming since every weapon needs 200 stones to upgrade and they are expensive as fuck. I finished it with only TWO fully upgraded weapons and believe me I looked into every single one of those underground mines. Which is funny because ER was supposedly allow players to experiment with different builds due to it's length >Even side quests are more impactful and more thought out compared to ER which is funny because latter one is OPEN WORLD >Every corner has an actually useful item unlike ER which gives you lost ashes of war after a 10 minutes long mini dungeon >Combat is generally more fun because not every enemy is Nameless King and even the slowest, biggest strength weapon is faster than fastest weapon of ER >It's generally more condensed and doesn't overstay it's welcome >It has more than just 7 unique bosses >Enemy placements are well thought out compared to just placing 10 enemy #x in a single zone >Looting enemies actually matters because you need blood vials and quicksilver bullets >No time wasting vastes of huge open areas >Those bosses OMG, literally all of them are better than ER bosses AND they aren't recycled outside of Chalices >Even Chalice dungeons are 10 times better than repetitive copy pasted mines and fake Chalice dungeons of ER
What the hell went wrong with Elden Ring? Was open world meme really took all their resources to make? Decline in quality is immense. We need Bloodborne 2 ASAP! Fuck Elden Ring, I won't buy another Souls game if they are going to stick to open meme formula. Also fantasy setting is boring at this point. There is visually no difference between DeS, DaS and ER outside of polygon counts.
>now remember guys, you can't ALL say Elden Ring >oh, I know! I'll say I'm Dark Souls 3 guy and post Dark Souls 3 and Dark Souls 3.png (I mean Dark Souls III hehehe) you are visibly bad at baiting
Henry Perez
Elden Ring is good, but it ain’t Dark Souls III levels of hood bucko.
Camden Morgan
>in 5 hours I already had three +3 weapons and one +6 weapon. >I finished it with only TWO fully upgraded weapons So it's just a casual linear game?
Alexander Anderson
BB is great but chalice dungeons were complete garbage. Elden Ring's chalice dungeons were, at worst, the same quality. You could argue that BB's had better bosses but that's really separate from the dungeon.
Cooper Lopez
>in 5 hours I already had three +3 weapons and one +6 weapon progression only lasts 5 hours? sounds shit, I've played demos that last longer
Anthony Gonzalez
>I finished it with only TWO fully upgraded weapons and believe me I looked into every single one of those underground mines This is especially comedic because Bloodborne only has one guaranteed Blood Rock in any given playthrough, two if you do The Old Hunters. Any more you have to find in the chalice dungeons or buy from the insight shop for 60 insight, which is very expensive. Also, you're gonna be grinding Bloodstone Chunks from the Scourge Beasts in Upper Cathedral Ward for Chunks for a good while if you find a better weapon you want to build up. At 20 insight per chunk, they're not worth buying.
Aiden Walker
>in 5 hours I already had three +3 weapons and one +6 weapon
sorry you suck at the game? Its really not hard to get a +8 or +9 weapon in the first hour or two if you really care about that kinda thing and know where to look. Like most open world games your hardest/longest run will always be your first because you dont know where anything is.
>>No fucked up progression system, in 5 hours I already had three +3 weapons and one +6 weapon. I finished it with only TWO fully upgraded weapons and believe me I looked into every single one of those underground mines. Which is funny because ER was supposedly allow players to experiment with different builds due to it's length did you not get any of the bell bearings? did you not realize there are ample farming spots in the game? Hell even if you dont like exploits the haligtree prayer room area you can get like 80k in 2-3min with barely any effort. Runes and stones were really not an issue and they made them even chaper with 1.03.
Cameron Harris
I'm so tired of open world meme. I loved all Soulsborne games (minus DS2) but ER just bores me to death.
>What the hell went wrong with Elden Ring? That huge wall of text just to get to this message. kek You snoys are all mentally ill retards and bloodborne was a 6/10 game at best. get fucked.
Remember the chariot avoiding minigame that existed for 1 whole optional area for DS2? That's several dungeons now It was bad when Dark Souls 2 did it, but when Elden Ring does the same thing but worse, several times in a row, it's somehow fine now
Brandon Rivera
>28 fps
we need bloodborne remastered PC enhanced edition ASAP
Nolan James
bruh, look at the wiki for fucks sake, you are embarrassing yourself
Elijah Phillips
Amazing. It's like they're two different games.
Josiah James
it's also the horrible anti aliasing and frame pacing that makes it feel so much worse than other 30 fps games
Liam Sanchez
I had the same experience OP, its crazy how fucking padded Elden Ring is, and normalfags eat that shit up
Christopher Russell
Are there any technical reasons that would make bloodborne unable to run at 60 fps if it was ported to more powerful hardware?
William Jenkins
>>Finish Elden Ring in a month with tons of breaks
I don't comprehend this. My brain literally cannot process this sentence. Elden Ring takes maybe, MAYBE 5 days to 100%. How can it take a human being a fucking month? Bro the game is trivially easy, short as fuck, and basically hands you ways to overpower it without ever trying. The only possible way it could take you more than a few days is if you literally play for 5 minutes at a time, die, and then shut the game down and go browse Twitter or some shit for the rest of the day.
Jack Kelly
>it's bad when ds2 half-asses it yes
Adam Nelson
money
Samuel Brown
not him, but some people don't get to play video games every day, user.
Charles James
Unless they were retarded and tied some physics to framerate like they did in DaS, no. DSII ran at 60 just fine, and came out before BB. That said, FROM is done with BB and Sony killed Japan Studio so it probably isn't gonna happen unless they completely re-create it in a new engine like with Demon's, and likely butcher it in the progress. BB didn't even get a PS4 Pro patch.
Ryan James
>but it's fine when elden ring quarter asses it eight times
Dominic Walker
Neither one is bad. DS2's is a puzzle boss, Elden Ring's is just a puzzle.
Jose Wilson
bro you got filtered?
Parker Baker
1 hour a day for a month is 30 hours user. 5 days is 120 hours. What are the kids saying, touch grass?
Wyatt Murphy
that is one of the more memorable and better bosses in the game
Tyler Sanchez
Played both. Why do you tards cope so much with BB and pretend it's the god of all games?
Jacob Watson
>multiline greentext cringe
Ethan Edwards
>Remember the chariot avoiding minigame that existed for 1 whole optional area for DS2? The funny thing about Executioner's Chariot, is fucking look at this thing. This boss is fucking amazing. It's completely unique, there is nothing even close to it in the entire series, and it has so much potential. You look at this thing and you wonder how you're going to fight it, how it's going to move, what new crazy gimmicks it can pull out.
And then the boss fight actually happens and it's literally not even a fight at all. You never actually fight this boss. You hide in a corner once or twice, and then you smack the horses which just become this stupid waste of time with no attacks and no challenge to them. Who the fuck does this?
yeah but bloodborne is also the easiest one, so...
Joseph Rogers
right, because its not ds2. I'm glad you understand
Matthew Green
Who are the shitters making these threads? Just play something you like.
Jaxson Rogers
>OMG I agree that Bloodborne is a vastly superior game though. Should probably neck yourself for that anyway
Owen Ross
DS3 and Bloodborne are my favorites each. What now?
Juan Bell
>ree no discussion on Yea Forums kill yourself
Hunter Davis
>Are there any technical reasons that would make bloodborne unable to run at 60 fps if it was ported to more powerful hardware? That depends. If it was properly ported, which means the underlying engine tech was re-scripted to run on PC hardware? Yes, nothing in the game (as far as I can tell) breaks at 60FPS, and there was a kinda jank fan patch to get it to run unlocked framerate on the PS4, but it couldn't really use the hardware properly and it wasn't stable 720p60fps, much less 1080.
Theoretically? I'm sure it could be ported without much issue though I'd hope that if it was they rebuilt the rendering and lighting engines along with the threading and cacheing the engine does, as Bloodborne is known to get very clunky when shit goes down in-game.
>Don't be retarded. The game is extremely short for an open world RPG, and that's not even discounting the repeated content. Also, it feels even shorter because you just blitz through most of the content without even thinking 90% of the time because it's so easy.
Daniel Adams
The fun twist with the boss is the puzzle phase and the cutscene make it seem like the skeleton is the boss, but after you crash the chariot it turns out the HORSE is the actual boss, not the rider.
Ayden Anderson
I do think it's easy, but claiming that it's short "in comparison" is asinine. Open world games are usually long games. Elden Ring is long. Especially if you've got shit to do.
Camden Rivera
Calling it a boss is a stretch.
Justin Kelly
TLDR never played and never will play Gayden Cockring
but i have to ask who is that semen demon?
Tyler Allen
Bloodborne, Sekiro, and DaS2 (for the pvp) are the best From souls games Any other opinion is wrong.
Jason Evans
It is a boss. It gets a boss healthbar and VICTORY ACHIEVED notification upon slaying it. It's not a particularly HARD boss, but it's still a boss regardless.
It's actually harder on bonfire intensity 2+, where it guards the valuable Chloranthy Ring+2.
Dylan Kelly
Miyazaki flat out stated Bloodborne was his favorite but everyone just kind of covered their ears and went LALALALALALA NOPE CAN'T HEAR YOU SOULS SOULS SOULS SOULS MUH SOULS. Elden Ring was a chance for him to make Dark Souls without having to follow the retarded lore not even he cares about but the problem is they did too little with the gameplay, enemies and bosses. You can tell he gave a shit about Bloodborne to an absurd degree, and he also clearly cared about Sekiro too because both of those are fantastic. I hope he's done with the high fantasy bullshit and moves on to something else. When he gives a shit, his projects are great. Otherwise you get dark souls 3 and elden ring: mediocre shit.
Anthony Rivera
>Play Bloodborne >Has stupid currencies that the player has to keep up like blood vials and silver bullets >World looks identical >Game runs 30fps >Story is bland
Bros why is the game garbage compared to Elden Ring and Sekiro?
theres also the way to quick kill it by making it fall into the hole, cool boss honestly at least when you're gonna compare it to shit like dragonriders or the 3 skelemans or the congregation or the rats or the other shitty bosses in DS2
Ian Gonzalez
>the many, shitty bosses of DS2 that are just a glorified regular enemy So that's where Elden Ring got that idea from
Jason Clark
yes, tanimura is clearly peaking from DS3 to Elden Ring, and I pity the poor fools who are blind to his mastery
Tyler Williams
I said this really early on when I started playing it, but Elden Ring has more DS2 in it than I expected. Like, it actually has so much DS2 DNA in it that it's kind of surprising considering how much From tried to distance themselves from it in the past.
Kevin Murphy
Please stop reminding me of DaS2's superior NG+ system. That shit was cash and I will never not miss not knowing what to expect and finding new items in the first (and even second) NG+ run.
Eli Moore
I hate open world games so much. They feel soulless and it feels like most of the content is just stretched out thin and most of it is made with the help of randomization, re-use and repetition to get around the fact that it's impossible to make that much unique content on a large scale. Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle.
Jack Hughes
>currencies Why are Chad posters so retarded these days?
Jack Nelson
A Dark Souls 3 fag can't be a based Demons Souls chad. Only PC gamer virgins like 3
Zachary Stewart
>>Game runs 30fps
He doesn´t know
Logan Morales
Miyazaki is just as bad as Tanimura
Michael Cruz
Who has the chad image with "profound retardation" overlayed onto it?
Chase Thomas
hot take me? enjoying games
Jack Rodriguez
T. PC permavirgin with cankles and or twig body
Oliver Campbell
All of those are notable in some format though.
>dragonriders The first one can be easily cheesed, or fought traditionally. Now you have to fight two at once. And summoning the NPC phantoms for this fight makes it harder cause they suck ass. It's a "can you manage multiple threats yet?" check, or a DPS check since you can kill the first before the second jumps down.
>or the 3 skelemans These guys are a joke but they're also the only place in the game that has bonewheel skeletons, who are somehow nerfed from their DS1 appearance. At least, until their full-threat cousins in Eleum Loyce showed up.
>or the congregation Another joke boss yes, but it's also one you can summon Benhart of Jugo for, meaning it's an easy way to get two boss clears for his questline with a bonfire ascetic.
>or the rats Both of these bosses are interesting. Royal Rat Vanguard is a pack boss with a boss that blends into the crowd. Play Where's Waldo and spot the thread to end the fight early. Royal Rat Authority implements the Toxic status into the fight, where if you get bit too many times you're a goner. Also, if you joined the rat covenant after beating the Vanguard, all the enemies leading up to the Authority will be passive and invincible, as if the game was bugged.
