Don't go to Gran Soren before doing the quest in the Witchwoods.
There are bandits on the way to the Witchwoods that are vastly more difficult than the enemies in the Witchwoods, which would naturally make you think that the Witchwoods would be difficult and so you should go back later, but this isn't actually the case at all, and if you don't do it right away it fails when you go to Gran Soren and you get locked out of a whole questline as a result.

Quests chains are all over the place so look up a quest order if you don't want to miss any.
The absolute worst inclinations for pawns are Nexus and Guardian. Consequently these are also the easiest to get just by playing. There's a guy in the tent in the second area that sells potions to change inclination.
Most of your stats will come from gear lategame so having a super minmaxed build isn't necessary (or good even) so feel free to change classes whenever.
There's one quest about escorting a bratty little girl and if done perfectly gets a necessary item for completely two other quests that gives lots of gear. This is the only opportunity in the game to get this item and the quest is easy to mess up so make sure to do it right.
You get access to a fast travel item in your item box at gran Soren which is easy to miss.

search for quests before doing the main one
there are some quests (not only side-quests) that you miss if you progress the main story, so you've got to explore and talk to people (even make dudes wear dresses)
some are time sensitive too
you can kick the ox taking the cart so it goes faster, get hit and ask your mage to help you healing you so it heals the ox near to you too

don't got to Bitter Black Isle before level 50 and at least at end game because any gear is going make you OP and since it's hard as fuck it can be unfun to cheese the enemies then

Itsuno said in an interview back when DMC5 a while back, something like

I'm pretty sure he's got a blank check to make whatever he wants after its success, so it's highly likely he's going to make a fully realized sequel to his dream game now. DMC6 will either get passed to a new director or be the next game he makes afterwards, depending on how patient the powers that be are. Making several DMC games in a row would eventually lead to burn out and I'm sure he's aware of that.
Consider that preproduction for his current project was already started when DMC5 released, and it has about 3 years dev time, maybe subtracting a few months to account for Covid. That's plenty for a good gameplay trailer to announce with.

Have heard it's a stable 30fps. If you have a hacked Switch you can swap saves between it and your PC copy, too.

I do admit me and my pawns always had something like 250 potent greenwarishes. And against boss battles I half of them would probably be gone by end of it.
