I was keeping tabs on another game that pretty recently had to make a significant tonal shift to their h-game because patreon got on their case. Everyone was telling them to make a subscribe star but the dev would rather say up on patreon because it's just more money. I imagine it's like that for any dev on there that's making a risque game.
