in terms off technical stuff, yes. battlefront 2 is visually amazing. the new deadspace has very talented vfx teams and if they got the guys from battlefront 2 then that is great.

im cautiously optimistic but from the interviews and their recent showcase it seems like the people in charge of the game have reverence for the original, and want to make a game better and more fun. there is a chance this remake ends up being very good. better than the original? we will see. but as a proper follow up to dead space 2? it might be possible

In 1 it looked like you were just adding additional stuff onto Isaac's base suit. 2 and 3 were the ones where you changed to completely different suits when you upgraded. 3 because your suit gets damaged in the shuttle crash so you need to find a suit that seals properly or you'll freeze to death.

A jumpscare is a very deliberate loud and fast thing that comes at you to make you jump and react.

Bad horror does this all the time. Cheap horror does this all the time. It's literally all cheap haunted houses do. Guy in costume jumping at you in the dark. It's not actually scary if you look at it, and the situation is just (usually) action based. There's no horror. Dead space had genuinely scary/creepy stuff but it was FULL of jumpscares.
