I won an XB1 back when it launched and I kept it despite initial skepticism due to the anti-consumer stuff, Kinect, TV, worse GPU and RAM, etc. and I was never disappointed with it. They fixed almost everything except the hardware but that was almost never a problem. I put the Kinect away. Added external SSD then internal to help with OS despite SATA2. I had a tv tuner and the guide was kinda neat even though they got rid of it eventually. They added 360 and then XB BC. Gamepass. I can stream some of the new games with it. I used it for the streaming apps for a couple years before getting roku. And I recently replaced it with a Series X after an 8 year run. And the Series X is worth playing my library alone. So yeah I like ‘em. A PS4 would have sucked in comparison. Only thing I missed was FF7R and Bloodborne and I don’t care about missing either anymore

Xbox is okay. They really don't deserve the hate they get tho Microsoft is a pozzed corporation. The stale anti xbox old arguments are kind of bullshit too as someone who owned and og xbox and beta tested xbox live. You were a casual if you dudnt pick up an og xbox back then. 360 was their last good console. XB1 was the beginning of the end and realizing they have no good exclusives whatsoever. They have great IPs but they don't do anything with them

Basically this. Yes some of their new toys like Ninja Theory and Obsidian are probably gonna be putting cool stuff out, but the lineup they bought in this past half-decade isn't as kino as OG Xbox's actual first-party games.

Needs to get their shit together with DRM. include the patched needed to run smart delivery games on discs or push an update that has a Univeral config file for Xbox One/Smart delivery games

Learn to localize a system. Sony does great in the third world because they actually ship consoles to those regions and have the console UI localized. I have a bulgarian friend who got a series s and has to set his console to Argentina as a region and has to buy gift cards on G2A to get games because MS store rejects his bulger card.

Open the checkbook and get jap support. I have a switch just for Atlus games(though this may be starting to change with soul hackers)

Nothing wrong with that. The problem has always been publishers not working with devs to create a great product.

Modern example: work with nintendo to be at their show to showcase your fps that looks good on the hardware, copy some moba fps ( aka clean environments) ,make it fun, removing cinematic stuff , work within a budget where 500k = breakeven. If a hit, just release a higher res, better texture version on the 4k twins.
