What do you use novel ai for?

One of these things needs to add an actual roguelike game engine that auto-generates context for the AI to write about.
That was always the problem with AI Dungeon, it couldn't really handle any kind of combat situation outside of instakilling you, and would lose context constantly for where you were, what was going on, and who was present unless you were continually managing the memory yourself.

the more tokens, the more the ai will be able to remember, i think the ratio was 3 tokens per word so the ai can trace backwards ~700 words to better form future generations

I had so many good times with AI Dungeon, way better than with many videogames, and they had to fuck everything up.They even removed the monster girl dungeon.

they all do, that's what prompts, lorebooks, etc are for. they all use tokens to get the ai to generate something the user defines, but the scale of the knowledge the ai can use to recall is limited by the token size, so the larger the size the further back the ai can see, or the larger your prompts/lorebooks can be

if you're talking about novel ai then put that into the lorebook, make an entry that defines a yandere, then apply that term to the word prompt on your character's lorebook entry. so say something like "This is character XYZ, they're a yandere blah blah blah", which lets the ai do a check for what the term yandere means, and every time yandere is mentioned in reference to your character, or if their personality is queried, it'll check the yandere lorebook entry for what that term means. you can use this method to define literally anything you want

give it 1-2 years, novelai is able to surpass dragon in certain aspects with the use of modules, but the tech itself and the absurd revenue novelai is making right now given they're the only competent text ai company led by a group of Yea Forums autists will blow previous shit out of the water

I bought this thinking I would get some cool infinite text adventure game I could go as deep with as I wanted and put any insane coom thing I wanted into it.
Turns out I just fucking got a ai writing assistant that wanted me to give it a prompt and then would write out an entire story with 0 interaction from me. Everytime I tried to interact it just had no idea what to do and took the story in a 180 direction ruining everything.

Fuck this shit and fuck that I bought it. Yes I'm mad.

"Remembering" is not a good word for what it does. You know how you can type in a text message "Boy am I ...." and choices like "Hungry, tired, mad" will pop up, that's what the AI is doing., except with 700~ words.

Not only are architectures improving literally every single month, but a paper just came out on "compute-optimal" models, which shows that we can get summer dragon levels with models half its size. It won't be long.

What is a module in novel ai

Fill in the memory/authors note with appropriate info, and don't be afraid to retry. You need to get a handle on how the AI tries to write, or you need to provide enough of a prompt for it to follow your style.

It biases the model to write in a specific way based on a bunch of training data the author of the model fed it. It can let the AI learn details of a specific setting, or write like a specific author, etc.
