The only thing that would make animal crossing better is if you yourself can customize and add just about anything you want to do so if furries want to furry in the game there would be nothing personally stopping them and so on.

I have nothing to say for the actual direction of the series (i.e. neighborhood sim vs. dollhouse sim) but ACNH gave Nintendo a taste of releasing an unfinished product for full price, so expect the same release model for the next game and most likely other nintendo series.
