I've been here for 14 years, I just want to encourage people to pick up basic finding skills by suggesting tools or methods they can use like anons in the past did for me. In my experience they're mostly just fun for other people who also make rpgmaker games in their spare time or for people who like art games. It's fun to see what others can do knowing its limitations, thinking about how to get similar results yourself, and finding new sources of inspiration. Rpgmaker games otherwise pretty much only gain recognition through memes or porn that bring tourists in for lack of better phrasing, but I'm pretty sure that's all there is to it.

For those who missed, the Forbidden Mod for Neverwinter Nights got an update:

Some quests addded, some older quests changed, overall city revamp (especially in the sewers). More little things to find while exploring. And, either I am a better player now or this was rebalanced, but setting traps seems much more worthwhile.
Some text lewds replaced with crude animations, some questionable consent encounters removed or modified as per "modern sensibilities". Reading script files in the editor I can tell there's a lot unfinished, like the hidden sex cult in the sewers of the vampire/witch quests.

There's some with good art/scenes, like Third Crisis and Spooky Starlets, but the problem is that they're stuck in fucking endless development.

At least in the context of h-games, for me it being rpg maker doesn't mean anything. If it hits my fetishes then I'll probably enjoy it. But at least for me I play them for the porn and if they have battles is highly likely I will skip them.

To me the appeal is that RPG gameplay works as filler that would be there in visual novels. Say that you have fantasy themed game, and protagonist gets a quest to find Thing from end of cave. In visual novel, every player would get same experience for the cave exploration, while in RPG the experiences can be wildly different. Maybe somebody prepared badly, and dies. Maybe another player explores the area and finds some cool loot. And if you're good at the game, you can have easier time in the dungeon.
...Of course, I'm not saying that RPG Maker gameplay is best thing in the world or something. But it's pretty hard to fuck up. Look at games like Third Crisis, it does something different and as result is kind of pain to play. And if devs try to be really clever and original, you might end with nightmares like Tales of Androgyny.

The bandit castle thing still happens. I didn't see the dog, but there are references to it in the script files, so it might've been a bug for me.
And the opening is the same, Not every questionable consent is removed. The gladiator stuff was removed, because now the quest is you walking in on a revolt in the gladiator school. There's rape, but its not the player character.
Most changes are minor. The painter got gender swapped, for example. The groping scene when you enter the sailors bar was changed. Stuff like that.
If you plan on replaying it, I'll just advise you to keep the Diary item in the main inventory. I put it in a container bag, and the game created a new one and started counting the lewd skill from 1. I think this isn't relevant to the dialogues, as they take the skill variable attached to the player character and not the item, but still. Don't put quest items in bags.

I love the game in the state that it is now, It falls like a glove into my specific tastes, and just the thought that it will be expanded on that stuff in less than 2 months makes me happy. I saw a few spoilers at f95 and I'm really satisfied with the direction of this update.

That sucks. Part of the charm of that game was that you could make up scenarios in your head. The graphics are absolute dogcrap, they're kinda charming but they're bad, I seriously don't understand why someone who's good at writing would remove something that people liked about the game, to replace it for something that he's probably not even close as good at doing (and even if he were a good animator, the engine doesn't look good)

Classic h-game mistake. Expanded the scope of the project by roughly 10x, taking what was a very simple development process and bloating it to the point where it'll be a miracle if it's delivered on. The original game was a self-contained event with branching paths, and now it's styled itself like a real game. Worst of all, latest versions are barebones as they don't have the content from the original version. I'm sure it'll be fine. After all, who doesn't love downloading a 30 gigabyte Unreal Engine game that maxes out your computer's performance for 2 scenes of some girl jerking you off?
