Because they make games and toys. Yes video games are toys but Nintendo has a longer history than anyone in "entertainment toys". Sega was the only one with a similar background so that's why Sega + Nintendo generations were always based and filled with original new games. Sony only knew electronics and Microsoft only knew software. EA only seeks profit.
Also having an actual prodigy for a president that actually programs and plays games helped in filtering out bad ideas. Sony, Microsoft, and EA don't have anyone like this and pretty much all the original PlayStation guys resigned or retired at the peak of the PS4 after the PS3 failure. Microsoft was even going to shut down the Xbox division after the failure of the Xbone.

Nintendo actually invest inwards. The other chase trends and acquire third party studios and properties that momentarily align with at the time current trends, and then they try too make money from it. But when said trends pass, the core of their business has little strength of its own.
