Don't you mean lvdo? You fool, you idiot?

adventure racing

Sports shooter, badminton style game where you hit shit back and forth until someone fucks up. Think like a fully expanded TF2 Dodgeball

Has anybody ever made "energy ball tennis" a full fledged game?

I don't think so, the closest thing that comes to mind is Lethal League

This
Imagine a map so huge it can accommodate exploration done at F zero speed

>Shooter + Fighting
How would it work? Any ideas?

I swear there was a game with that premise but I can't remember the name, seems like it was a mid to late 00s game

Found it, it was Fuel that I was thinking of. I kept searching for gasoline

only thing I can think is a 1v1 game where you have to combo your guns while keeping your aim. it would have to be either not as easy to move or not as difficult to miss,

I'm surprised nobody's made a sports strategy game yet. Wait nevermind, as I was typing this I thought of Blood Bowl. Somebody did.
Surprised nobody's done it with other sports, unless I'm just forgetting again. My first thought was a basketball version where you had to manage the ball and decide on risky three pointers or ballsy maneuvers on the court. Something like Blitzball in FFX, which I just remembered as well. I really like this subgenre, now that I've thought about it.

In japan, there is this huge mmo-esque horse race management arcade game where you own horses and have both a racing/betting half of the game, plus strategic franchise and horse management and sales. It seems extremely awesome to just give your life to.

Remnant from the ashes if you're very loose with the term fighter.

Otherwise Happy Chaos in Guilty Gear strive has shooter mechanics.

Puzzle shooter.
Specifically a point and click adventure combined with FEAR combat

Retro Sandbox
Able to create a ton of content and make it fun without inflating the budget wit

Sion from melty blood

Shooter Racing
>Trajectory Laberynth
>as a self-shooting bullet; race other players through checkpoints across a chaotic cluttered 3d field
>classes include SMG (30 boosts before reloading, can keep firing to simulate traditional kart gaming; the beginner class) Revolver(6 bullets; more than enough to kill anything that moves. High thrust; ricochets off surfaces) Sniper (One shot, long reload time, can become a Magic bullet for a limited time to angle any way it wants)
>additionally gravity physics like Mario 64 cannon sequences
>can customize your clips per individual bullet deciding on material, grooves, fins or even gyrojet propulsion

Give it a grappling hook and I'll play it. Like Spider-Man 2, but the game's all about the swinging.

I like the whole Vigilante 8 / Twisted Metal genre, but I'd just like to say
>race shooting

I always thought a dodgeball game in this style would work well. Especially in the CRPG style like Divinity Original Sin 2. Build different dodgeball classes, different ball types, learn different dodgeball abilities in the same way you learn spells, etc.

>Turn-based racing game

Racing Lagoon.

Mad max

I'd recommend Break Arts II. It's a game where you build and race mechs.

FUEL
I wish there was a cool game that was just a point to point episode 1 podrace over procedurely generated terrain the size of Australia or something. Or something like a Redline game.

all racing games except drag racing are turn based

Carlos!

Let's try puzzle racing instead

Ultimate Chicken Horse comes to mind.

There, I just created racing sims, the only genre that needs to exist

today I will remind them

There are even turn based racing games which feel like they fit.

just today I was thinking how enjoyable this was.
what a winner.
