I have played old-ass games that I never had the chance to play when I was a kid, and am still being blown away by how good they are.

Somewhat paradoxically though, is that as I get older, I am enjoying PS2 games less, but everything before then is still kino.

I've played games that were made before I was born and had a great time with them. I'm pretty sure it's the games that changed.

I'm 39 and I still love video games.
I've had a lot of significant changes in life, as well as with myself, but my love for vidya never died.

There was a girl I dated in 2002, and she was a fucking nerdlet. She was kinda fat but still had a cute face, but she was a massive weeb. Watched nothing but 90's anime and went on forever about JRPGs, and imported the Chrono Cross soundtracks and the kept the discs in her car. She was pretty broken and extremely negative about everything in life except video games, even though her life really wasn't that bad.

I still think about her from time to time. She bought me a new wallet at the time, and I've used it on a daily basis for the past twenty years. I really should see how she's doing sometime.

Combination of both. I still love most classic games and plenty of new ones I play but because of my experience I'm not as easily impressed by games as I was when I was kid. New games provide a similar but different experience than classics games that I enjoy, but don't like in large quantities. People who don't enjoy a single new game in the past couple years are jaded fags who hate themselves 99% of the time

I agree. I played MegaMan Legends on Duckstation recently and I seriously absolutely love the game. I highly recommend it to anyone in this thread that hasn't played it already, even if you don't care for the MegaMan franchise.

nope, started with SNES games when I was like 5, then started renting N64 on weekends, then got a PSX for christmas, then got a gamecube a few christmases later, played all the best N64/Xbox/PS2 games at friends' houses, had some enjoyable experiences with the wii/360 but abandoned consoles after that and enjoyed what felt like the last era of any half decent games being released on PC

I still fucking LOVE Rollercoaster Tycoon and Warcraft 3 and most of the things I played growing up though.
A handful of good games come out now but I still enjoy what I play.
