?

He never stops swinging except for when he's spamming a huge AOE you need to run away from.

Dunno I just used bloodhound step and attacked him until he died.

summon ur fav spirit guy to divert his attention

Block it you pussy

When you parry 75% of the attacks he makes, pussy.

Can the Erdtree shield's ability be used on Maliketh's laserbeams? I'd try but I'm not at that point yet.

He only attacks like 3 times in a row maximum, dude. What are you talking about?

parry him.

i play str builds so i can just attack whenever

>have 60 fucking VIG
>every enemy after Leyndell still kills me in 3 hits
This game is such a fucking meme

sometimes he has that really slow follow-up fourth swing when you think he's done.

Radagon isn't particularly hard but having to fight Elden Beast afterword made me hate having to keep fighting him everytime.

drop the scarseals, retard

This is the one endgame boss I actually enjoyed though and is well telegraphed except for maybe when he starts teleporting.

Yeah, and I really hate that people just sidestep some of the bullshit overtuning of bosses by just saying "hurr durr just softcap your VIG ASAP bro!". That doesn't justify it. No other souls game required the player to have softcapped HP + FAP + life ring just to survive a single combo. No other game had VIG as downright mandatory to softcap like this, it was something you only really did for meta PVP, otherwise you could have significantly less VIG and still be totally fine just going through the games.

And people shat on DaS2 for ADP being mandatory. When actually you could play that game without i-frames at all via proper spacing or blocking/tanking, as well as ATT also raising your i-frames. So VIG in ER is infinitely worse than ADP in DaS2 if the criticism is "mandatory playability stats are bad"

>you just finished your combo c-can i attack now?
>mhmm no sorry sweetie its always my turn
Basically every ER boss.

Just summon your mimic to tank him while you DPS him with magic. It’s not that hard. I beat 80% of the bosses in this game on my first try because this tactic.

>witness the insane tracking and move set speed of Radagon
>finally decide to take the bloodhound pill
>game becomes instantly more enjoyable and manageable
Even made fighting against the Elden beast alright, since I could actually keep up and didn’t have to chase it forever

Explain to me the telegraph for his hand lasers, bonus points for how to know if he's going to do it out of a teleport

I just invested into some defenses and poised through his shit until he was dead.

Whenever you press the attack button. This isn't turn-based and no Nu-Fromsoft game has ever been turn based.

>ranged/magic
Whenever you have distance and he isnt in neutral
>fast weapon
After every slow attack, combo enders and long cast ones
>long weapon
Just combo enders and long cast ones
>slow weapon that isnt long
That one attack when it ends, nothing else

EAT

THE

CRAB

He was kind of weird at first, then you realize you want to bait him into the swing attacks until he slams the ground which you can then get 3-4 solid hits in with a fast weapon.

Never met someone with a taste for prawns I couldn't trust. We'd make good mates, I reckon.

I hate that for every major late-game fight I have to spam crab every 30 seconds despite already having high HP and heavy armor.

IMO the only bullshit thing Radagon does is the insta-teleport to phase out of reality to dodge your attack, then phase back in with an AoE that knocks you back, just in time to them rush in and hit you again while staggered. It's just annoying.
Other than that, only gripe is that he's not a full-fledged boss on his own and instead shoehorned in with Elden Beast

Stop being a giant pussy and weave your attacks between theirs. It's insane people don't do this.

Also. You didn't beat the game.

even though he was hard for the first 30 minutes i fought, he was actually kino and so is his song

>why yes I did beat the game with rivers of blood, how could you tell?

shit i forgot to eat the crab lol

>t. beat the game for the first time yesterday

>New chewing sound
Unplayable

eventually i was able to dodge the teleport consistently. its a cool move and caught me off guard multiple times but i got it.

yeah the lasers that shoot in a shotgun are so hard to dodge what the hell

I should have done farum azula earlier because you get the smithing stone bells. i faced too many hard bosses with +7 sombering weapons and +18 regular ones

I don't know what to make of this. But all I can say is that assessing damage by areas/trash mobs is irrelevant since in Elden Ring all the areas/dungeons/etc are piss-easy jokes and the only challenge is from the bosses. So if you want to assess damage output it should be through how much damage each boss does in their combos

*ruins your kino*

I want to eat crab so bad

>normal game
Proper early game-mid game-end game progression
>modded shit
Game just peaks at mid-game

So people just want every enemy to be a jobber like Morgott who is supposed to be a cool rematch but because of player progression everyone considers him easier than Margit?

Crazy isn't it. At least enemies generally aren't damage sponges

git gud

That also feels like it can be misleading, because you might not die in 1-2 hits, in this but you'll die in 1 combo pretty easily and enemies do much longer combos than other Souls games. They also do a lot of things specifically to catch you for rolling as soon as you see movement more often.

You only say shit like this if you're some faggy mage or blasphemous blade/Rob retard. If you play using normal weapons you know it's not that simple

Look at this dumb fat fairy

i just wish he didn't have a sword. holy shit, not everything needs to use a goddamn sword

>They also do a lot of things specifically to catch you for rolling as soon as you see movement more often.
This wouldn't bother me nearly as much if the input-buffering wasn't fucking ridiculous.

So what always happens is
>mistime your roll input
>get hit before you actually roll because of lightning-quick attack
>the roll you tried to do before the attack is now buffered and will make your character roll as soon as the stagger animation ends
>there's no way to cancel this
>character rolls
>boss is designed to always hit a player rolling immediately after stagger from the first hit

>Dodge 8 attacks in a row none stop
>Attack
>Boss reads my input and punishes my punish, but since boss hits harder and has a huge health pool, I lose since now I have risk healing, which boss also reads inputs on and does a fast long reach move
When people cheese Elden Ring with summons, magic and a lot of items, I get it. I understand. At 50 vigor/health, with maxed flasks, it takes 2 swigs to bring me up to full and bosses can STILL one shot me from 80%.

Radagon has a lot of openings, even for the SLOWEST weapons
youtu.be/MG7YITuf19M?t=3524
The problem is his uberfast non-golden stomp which is pretty rare, and unreactable hand lightning which you can more or less control by always being near him.
Once you learn the fight, he becomes extremely predictable because he has health threshold moves. First one is the golden stomp + fly up high move which is a free flask time plus a huge opening afterwards. Second is the triple gold breaker which is a massive opening to attack.

He'd be a perfectly fine fight if he didn't constantly run away as soon as you get to him and elden stars was actually dodgeable without some bullshit cope like bloodhound step or whatever.
Alternatively allow torrent. I'm fairly certain that boss was designed to be fought on your trusty ox.

He's one of the few bosses with large and clear openings with no 10 frame punishers

You can avoid the ridiculously quick holy pew-pew spam by just always always walking to the side. You'll always end up between the pew-pews if you do that.

that's good to know, I never tried that.

>50 vig
>one shot from 80%
name one (1) attack that isn't a telegraphed grab or waterfowl

I liked him desu

Wait so is the crab actually useful? A consumable worth consuming, now that'd be a first.

item descriptions from cut torrent boosting items confirms that radagon was torrents original owner, that radagon was born of the crucible, that radagon predates marika, and that radagon waged war against the ancients, and the crucible, out of an extreme hatred and disgust for the nature of his creation.

Rodagon's AI feels bipolar as fuck after the update. He's either teleporting like a spastic or constantly Superman jumping for his AoE attacks.

Like all fights. Just use the mimic. I dont think a boss ever took me more than 3 tries. This game isnt meant to be solo'd, especially the later half

Source

Yeah crab is apparently incredible in PvE

>A consumable worth consuming, now that'd be a first.
Poise is built into specific armor and buffs. In past souls games, weapons would give you poise and all armors would give you some poise. High poise is like hyperarmor, where you can take hits and still perform your inputs, ignoring the hits you took. It's in Elden Ring, but you have to tailor your build for it and consume buffs.

Crab by itself won't do anything, Poise doesn't matter until you hit 60+.

Fitting.
