well to be fair with bleeding damage he would ruin him but guts has like 120 vigor at least.

He was on equal footing against everyone. no enemy had instapunish when he reeled or could do a quick attack the moment guts attacked, to trade. guts had the ability to switch to guarding and fight actively.
in elden shit you're a passive shit, waiting for when the boss permits you to attack by leaving a gap. you can't just attack because they input read you.
