What can't you even run at 1080p. That's a decent rig.

that's a fucking low power laptop GPU with no media engines and a pathetic display engine. It's barely any bigger than AMD's latest iGPUs for crying out loud. It's shit

I fell for the 4K meme with a 2080ti.
I have since moved to 1440p 144hz.

32 gigs ram 3600

That seems like a good middle ground and what I am aiming for next.

all this power and no desire to play vidya

enjoy jerking off to your le smooth desktop windows while I literally see twice as much detail

>he can see twice as many pebbles on the ground now

yeah 1440p 120+ hz is the perfect sweet spot

will probably never care for anything beyond 60hz because fighting games are capped at 60fps

Attached: cpuz.jpg (376x402, 69.99K)

Yes? Did you think that was clever?

>silky smooth 60 FPS like it was still 1996
lmao

>blurry ass 1440p like it's still 2015
just stick to consoles kid

I got a 6900XT just because it has "69" in it.

show me the 1080p numbers. it's a low end card that can run pretyt much everything at 1080p

I went from a 3600 to this, there is a noticeable improvement for 1% lows, it pretty much bruteforces unoptimized games. Haven't tried RPCS3 yet. I have no intention on buying a 7000 series CPU or Nvidia 4000/ AMD 8000 series GPU as well, 5800X3D is the final CPU for X570 MB.

I've got a 2070 but I have a 1440p monitor for work stuff. A 2070 absolutely cannot handle 1440p gaming, so I'm faced with either running all my games at 1440p at absolute minimum settings or running them at 1080p.

what? my 1080 handles 1440p without any issue

The monitor I just ordered has this. 2k seems to be the best option right now.

>my 1080 handles 1440p without any issue

Did you mean 2070? Because if so I don't know what I'm doing wrong man but if I want triple-digit FPS I've gotta crank games down to at- or near-minimum.

1440p isn't "2k"

no, GTX 1080, i bought with my 7700k in 2017 and i have an asus vg27aq, and yeah, it struggles to get to 144 fps, but as far as i'm above 80 fps i'm happy

or maybe you have a wonky driver install or windows is fucking with you

Yep. 1440p is referred to as 2k and QHD.

shut the fuck up
