The show starts to slowly go downhill in that season (before taking a complete free-fall in the last season), but it felt like she was just embarrassed by the attempted sex. It was the fact that he tried to stalk her that freaked her out. Not sure if they retcon that in the last season because I literally couldn't finish watching it.

I'd say it's edgy to retcon the tragic accidental death of a recurring character into an act of borderline murder just to create artificial drama for the protagonist.

I watched this entire show and by the end I was just sick of Bojack’s sad-sack shit. Maybe it was me who changed throughout but he would have been fine if he just stopped thinking about his parents and crying about everything. Not surprisingly, the show was created and written by members of a certain tribal ethnicity.

It's hilarious until it starts to take itself too seriously. First 3 seasons are solid, add the next season if you want something hit-or-miss but generally good. Last two seasons become almost unwatchable if you think about their internal logic too much.

The entire last season of Bojack felt extremely forced. If it wasn't Bojack doing shit he had already done before it was the world and everyone around him deliberately fucking him over and sabotaging him.

I find it hilarious that Hollyhock's letter came in when it did instead of a near season earlier when it would have been more prompt and proper. At the end I did actually just straight up feel bad for Bojack because the entire season wasn't even about him self-sabotaging, it was just the world fucking him over in the most painful ways to him as possible to force a relapse.
