I prefer games set in a single locale with a strong aesthetic to games where they cram in every environment known to man within 10 miles of eachother just 'cuz
What games have single locale?
Games for this feel?
Basically any game set in a single city
War Thunder map that is full of sniping tanks can see you but you can't see them, that kill you in one hit all in Dickermaxes or Stugg IIIs.
Yeah I got a line for you OP. Right here.
Just have a game set entirely in the isthmus for kino of the highest caliber imaginable
Branching paths
This protagonist seems really bad at directions, he coulda just headed west and been at the final boss in an hour
This is FFX in a nutshell. You start out on islands, go through forests, jungles, beaches, swamps, plains, you end up in a desert, you go up in the mountains and eventually end up at your end destination where you throw Yuna into a volcano
>final dungeon is in a volcano cliche
hehehehehehehe
XDdd!11!D BECAUSE OF BLACK MESA FUCKING POGGERS EPIC XD!!
Worth grabbing for the golden week sale?
that's the joke, yes. well done on noticing that
Play it on the PS2 emulator (pcsx2), the remaster butchered the visuals
>butte
>butte
heh
the Paper Mario way
Just realised I soemhow forgot chapter 3
The cave connects to the waterfall.
buttemind
I thought pcsx2 sucked
Best route coming through.
Which way do you think west is?
>no PVP area on the butte
>quest markers on
>technology advances
>game becomes souless
i dont know what that means. laughing irl at Dick Place and imagining your sister living there though
Heh
He needed to grab mcguffin and then charge it at home
>Not going to Panty Hill along the way
Ngmi
Ok but cities are boring and samey, so none of those have a strong aesthetic.
Adventures of Darwin takes place entirely in a prehistoric forest, though the forest has a cave, a river and a rocky section, but I don't think those constitute "different locales"
Chakra points
Any game where you actually start in the mountains and go down to a beach?
Usually it's the other way around
Uncharted 1 and 2 for the most part
>not even going to the iceberg
What's wrong with you guys?
ice(((berg)))
I'm not going to that shit
So it's an optional boss is what you're saying?
Xenoblade 1... kinda
Iceberg is for act 3, where it hides the real final boss.
ok what about this bitch
>start the game in the volcano as a man of fire
>wander in the desert until you find an illusion of an oasis, now your biggest wish is to know what is water
>on top of the mesa you see the ocean, decide to go there
>top of the cliff, you did it, you will know what water feels like, jump straight into it and die, because you're a man of fire
>you body floats to the lagoon where fishwomen will bring you back to life, but you're not the same anymore
>you play with your new skills on the archipelago when you finally understand that you became a man of water, new goal is to destroy fire men
>navigate through waters to the main land and dive up the waterfall, find a secret way to the sky where you become the God of Aqua
>new powers are so strong you turned a regular forest into a rain forest
>you finally go back to the volcano to annihilate your hot wife
>not the butte
Sounds like a Polynesian creation myth, I kinda like it
Behold
Here you go, complete with side areas for exploration.
what are some kino plain boss fights ? bonus point for no thunderstorm atmosphere
I made this before checking what other anons made. I hope it's not too generic.
Does this count?
kill yourself
>the entire lagoon is the arena
I just realized OP picture is the map for the secret of monkey island kek
