I hope MW2 goes even further with Gunsmith. We've seen 10-slot guns in Vanguard and with a return to a modern theme, there's room for even more coostomization. Separation of handguards from barrels; upper and lower receivers; iron sight customization; additional internal mods, like Vanguard had. They have to go full Tarkov or even beyond to wow the gaming audience I reckon.

in all seriousness though I do agree. Tarkov has a lot of flaws, BSG are amateur devs who have a seedy past, and it takes them fucking ages to do anything (release coming 2018 we swear). But what they're doing, devs like EA, Activision, Ubisoft, all the bigger companies would have no balls to do if they don't monetise the fuck out of it and reduce '''stress factors''' eg - melt it down into an unsatisfying slush.

Slide cancling is a braindead mechanic, I don't really thinking about when I do it I just do it because that's how to play the game at that level, it's no different to bunny hopping or drop shotting, it just becomes second nature and muscle memory takes over.

Cold War is a fucking embarrassment. It's worse than MW19 in every single way. Worse graphics, worse animations, worse sound, fewer weapons, worse weapon mods, worse maps, worse killstreaks, no ground war. Its only saving grace is zombies and you get bored of that after a week or two. I was SHOCKED when I tried CW on free week after playing MW19. If you told me CW was made 5 years earlier by some outsourced studio I would believe you 100%. Vanguard sucks balls though. Fuck that piece of shit.

There are factors like bullet spread,recoil(tho in cods its almost non existent) just like in GO but you wont have situations where you can stand point blank next to enemy model offline mode,have crosshair/ads perfectly pixel on enemy model head and your shot will miss because of 90% of change hitting because RNG that moment fucked you in the ass and gave you that 10% miss chance lmao.

Because there was very little else in the way of FPS games that was big and focused on a more 'realistic' aesthetic until COD and Battlefield blew up in the mid-00s, and then skins becoming a popular thing clawed back that popularity on PC. It's also not a very demanding series hardware-wise.
Honestly, I don't see them doing anything that would seriously threaten Tarkov. It's just too much of a financial 'risk' for these big bloated publishers to take a chance on. Anything that goes against mainstream tastes is a no-go.

There's a clear demand for extraction royale style games just like Tarkov. Hunt: Showdown is another very popular example. BF2042 even had a really shitty version of it. MW22 has the potential to do the concept very well, MW19 is legitimately one of the best FPS games of all time so if 22 just improves a little on that it'll be awesome.
